Exactly my thoughts; I didn't write it on the first time, because being french I thought my perception might be a bit different (different cultures, etc...), but I think that Jon might need a few weeks (hopefully...) to make some order among his thoughts, what would be the most important thing, etc...and the condition of his girlfriend could be, or would be, a very big concern for him. The car would probably come later, and, as said by Brian, some "guilt" feeling might enter in consideration (even if there seem to be no reason for it). Rgds
KFMB CBS 8 article - comment from a work colleague on Amanda's condition: Police: Pot smoking may have caused accident in Scripps Ranch - CBS News 8 - San Diego, CA News Station - KFMB Channel 8
Geez,,, Been away from Ferrarichat for a bit, and now see this post.... A shadow has crossed my heart as I read this thread. What a terrible event........ My heart goes out to all the family of the accident. Please keep all of the family in your prayers and thoughts. I wish I had a magic wand to make it all better.........
While I hate reading this, I for one would be totally in for starting a fund to help the kids out should Amanda not make it.
So sorry to hear this tragic news and the update on Amanda. My thoughts and prayers for Jon, Amanda and their families. God bless...
This is gut wrenching to hear. Absolutely gut wrenching. Didn't know him personally, but absolutely appreciated his posts, especially in P&R. Let me know how I can help/contribute.
Horrible and very sad tragedy. I do not know Jon but have seen some of his posts. I'm hopeful this will turn around and they will both recover. I'm all for a donation to both of them and/or their families to help in any way possible. My best, Dave Lelonek
Well, on page 13 is stated that Amanda's family decided to get her off life support.. And as often: the person who caused an unnessesary accident (DUI-drivers) is hardly injured at all, the innocent victims are hurt or worse.. Should be the other way around. It makes me furious.
Sickening isn't it? Really feeling for Jon and Amanda and families of both...and to anyone here who has suffered, or family members have suffered, life altering events while completely innocent at the hands of someone else's criminal act.
This is heart breaking, I am so saddened to hear. My condolences to this young lady's family and her children. Hoping for the best for Bullfighter - my prayers are with him.
I keep coming back to this thread hoping to see some kind of better news. So sorry to hear about the latest developments. Deeply saddening and infuriating at the same time.
I agree with you about posting (or even making) videos such as this. (I haven't watched it) We live in a vulgar age, made exponentially worse by digital technology. On the plus side there are a lot of very caring people on this forum. This accident is a terrible tragedy. Really sickens me.
This is truly heart wrenching. The video should be shown too all new drivers. THIS is what can happen when you don't respect the dangers and responsibility of driving. Innocent lives, gone or changed forever. They could have been walking down the sidewalk. The Corolla driver could have been drinking. Or texting. Doesn't really matter. Someone forgot that they were in charge of a deadly weapon. Happens everywhere and 99% of the time they get away with it. But the consequences of that 1% chance need to be understood. So sad for everyone touched by this.
So sad beyond belief, a senseless tragic accident that didn't have to happen. My thoughts go out to their families and loved ones. Count me in for supporting the family.
I have been following this thread for the past couple of days, and as a rather new member was hesitant to comment as it is truly heartbreaking. I just want to say that Jon, Amanda, and their families are in my prayers. I also think a gofundme for Amanda's children is a wonderful idea and if created, please link me on Facebook (PM me for name) and I will forward as well (I ran an automotive forum for a few years and can guarantee the contribution from many). So very sad....
