    Amen.

And we are thankful, Lord, for our friends, especially in this time of great loss. We are all grieving together. We pray for healing and comfort for Jon and for Amanda's family.

Such a sad loss. Condolences to both families.

It's always nice to see the better side of humanity in the diverse group found here. If there is a fund setup for them I'll help in anyway I can. I can only imagine what her children are going thru with actually having lost their mom. Funds will not replace her of course, but the upside down world they are now facing can be helped as the family will no doubt be trying to sort it all out.

Gut wrenching. So sorry for the loss of Amanda.

Continuing to watch this thread several times a day; cautiously optimistic about the prospects for Jon's recovery.

That picture juts makes it harder to accept. While a 308 owner, I didn't know Jon as I spend most of my time in the 355 section. I've been watching the thread hoping that Amanda's passing would not be confirmed. Again, my sincerest condolences to both Jon's and Amanda's family and friends, and hoping Jon recovers fully.

This made me cry. I have long had an idea to reduce DUI's and give inebriated people a viable alternative. I have been holding back on launching after a year of preparation. This is my life's new mission. If it only stops one accident like this, and I lose my investment, it is worth it.

I have passed on to Jon's brother that there are so many friends wanting to contribute to a fund for Jon, Amanda, and her boys. No updates to his condition yet. I'll pass on info as soon as I can.

I don't know Jon or Amanda and I am not a frequent contributor, but I often read Jon's posts. I really enjoy them. His comments always seem spot on. My prayers are with both families. Godspeed in your recovery Jon. Chris

Yeah, really appreciate it Robb. I just read about Amanda's passing, and I'm terribly upset right now. I want to contribute in any way I can. Please let me know how I can help at the appropriate time.

There hasn't been any updates in the local news, that I have seen, about the DUI driver that caused all this grief.

She wasn't arrested at the scene, and she wasn't arrested before being discharged from the Hospital with minor injuries. The news said the Police are in the "process of arresting her" but there haven't been any updates.

Even her name has escaped the public record.

I hope they get her off the streets quick and revoke her license for good.

What a tragedy. A shame. I hope Jon recovers fully. And the perp spends many years in jail.
