While on the subject of a broken speedo. Two years ago i had a speedo problem. My speedo needle was dead and yet mt odometer worked fine. I did the usual checks on my sensor on the side of the gear box, i even took out the speedo pod to check the back wire conectors.
This was on going for a week and was about to order a new sensor, then sitting in seat i saw this (see bellow). How the hell did that happen? I ran through how it was possible and concluded because it was winter i had removed the pod for a new leather recovering, but still i was and still am totally baffled by how the needle moved to the other side of the needle stop. I simply lifted it to the other side of the stop and all was fine in the world again.
The stop is something you never really notice is there until you look for it.
I now think of it as funny, but not back then :)

I have one, its a kph version though, one screw tab broken off which would be easy to fix.

You could use the internals to repair yours though. its in the UK but can ship to the states.

Looking for £200 plus £25 shipping.

I have a mph dial for sale. Quite easy to exchange if you have an kph dial and wants mph instead.
