I was told to post this thread under the "Vintage" section, but anyways, I found this 275 N.A.R.T. Spyder on the back of a flatbed truck in Cross River, NY and I need some verification if it's a legit 275 NART

The display license plate is from the House of Cars Curated Garage Tour and Gala Celebration, which took place in September, 2015. The tour began at Miller Motorcars, visited the garages of five different private collectors in the area, and ended at Collector's Car Garage in Bedford Hills. I assume this car was displayed as part of the tour. Unfortunately, I don't have a list of cars displayed or garages toured.

My feeling is this is probably a cut berlinetta, but it's still an impressive sighting.

Given the location and the proximity to the home of 10219, it would seem likely to be this car.

I'm surprised to see this car on an open carrier.

Usually a sign of an unexpected mechanical breakdown. AAA is still the quickest way to get a precious automobile off the side of the road.

No plate on the car, perhaps just a short shuffle between facilities.

It seems that the real 10 spyder all have the NART badge on the rear panel...and the Pininfarina badge under the vents of the front wing

It does not have the badge (like etienne pointed out) it does not have e rear view mirror and it has no light below rear bumper. At least the badge indicates it is not the $27.5m car

Don't judge based on the flatbed tow. After all, even if it's only a NART conversion, it's current value is well into seven figures. And I've seen more valuable cars flatbedded! We're not talking about cross-country transport here; sometimes you've just got to get the thing moved quickly and easily.

Without regard for the method of transport, I still agree this is likely a converted berlinetta. Only two true NARTs are garaged in that area and wearing red paint today, and I can quickly eliminate one. I haven't seen the other in recent years, so I'm not sure of it's current configuration (outside mirror, NART badge). Even so, odds are this is a cut car. If I can free up some time over the coming weekend, I'll see if I can't get a positive ID and pin down the s/n for you guys.

I'll take it at 6 figures. (I'm Sure you meant 7).

Actually, of the three (09437, 10219 and 10453) currently garaged in the New York Tri-State area, only one of them (R. Lauren's 10219) currently wears Red paint. 09437 is Giallo Solare, and 10453 Blue.

I believe the car spotted here is most likely 10473, and if I'm correct, then it has lost the driver's side exterior mirror in recent years.

Dear Marcel, of course it is not 10219. I haven´t said that. Btw, when was the last time that 10219 has been seen outside DAD Garage?

    Best,

Precisely. And Darien is approximately 10 miles from Miller Motorcars (where this event began) and 20 miles from both Bedford Hills (where the event ended) and Cross River (where the photograph was taken).

By the way, verified the car as 10473. Currently under the care of a well-known shop in that same area:

Wow I completely forgot about this thread. I went to go take pictures of a 1980s Bronco parked at Marty Motors in Ridgefield, Connecticut. While I was there, I asked about this car as it was on one of their trucks. They confirmed that it is NOT a legit 275 NART, but a cut-away car. Still an insane find though...

It was so nice reading this thread however in terms of tracking down which chassis this actually is and where it's from. FerrariChat is a magical place lol.

Also, what is the name of the shop?
