Came across this beautiful shot of Chalstrad's mean machine blackmagic Peter do you have pictures of your interior ? Cuoio is rare on GTO's... it's a perfect match for the TDF paint !
I loooove this one. http://www.lfsc.com/galleria_images/875/875_main_l.jpg First because it's a beautiful rosso fuoco GTO and Mostly because it has BODY PAINTED MIRRORS TRIANGLE I'm mad about details in automotive. The black plastic mirror basis in the 599 Family of cars is something I strongly dislike More here : 2011 Ferrari 599 GTO - Factory Autorized New and Used Ferrari, Maserati, Aston Martin, Lotus and McLaren Dealer
That is beautifully specced especially with the alcantara insets. Looks quite naked without any livery or roof colours but in a classy gt way.

Cuoio is my favorite interior leather color, even on a GTO. Not too fond of alcantara, which is polyester.
Absolutely Terry, it's nothing more than artificial Suede Leather... The day I'll order my first "Hardcore" Ferrari I'll request a bespoke interior in Kangaroo Suede Leather. A dude working in the leather industry told me once that Kangaroo leather is the best on earth. Strong & Smooth.
Not sure that it is the right texture for an automotive interior. Plus it ages pretty quickly in the sense that the regularly used parts go a lighter colour pretty quickly. Also if you spill any liquid on it than the colour fades even faster.
We know our kangaroos. Maybe there is a way to treat it against colour fade but that is probably why Ferrari alcantara is artificial/polyester suede as opposed to untreated suede.
Agree Terry, would never order a full alcantara interior in a Ferrari, maybe none at all - even in a hardcore model. I have felt alcantara on the steering wheel of a Porsche Boxster GTS at an exotic display and it really was not pleasant to hold at all. On another note, the 599 GTO is still far more beautiful than the F12 TDF.
I've a foot in each camp, so here's my two cents: Today, the car in my small collection which draws the most "that's just beautiful" is my Argento Nurburgring 550 Maranello. Oddly, back in the late '90s most commentators thought it looked ordinary, many criticised it for its fussy vents and bonnet scoop. Beautiful was not a word used to describe it. But here we are in 2016 she's aged amazingly well. That's what happens with Ferrari, that's part of its magic. The 599 GTO is a fantastic looking car and has real presence. It's a handsome brute, it exudes power and grace. It's epic. Mine is in Ferro with a Silverstone roof, pictured with something else rather more dramatic. The 599 GTO is already a very special car made better by the tdf. That's how it works, Ferrari's magic again. In fairness the F12 tdf needs to seen outside and in the flesh, recent pictures will not convey its impact. And like the 550, and the GTO, the tdf will only become more stunning with age. The variable is time, the tdf is brand new. It hasn't even started its climb to greatness. For the magnificence of its engine alone, its greatness is assured. Image Unavailable, Please Login
