SAE is the output of the engine with none of the ancilliary equipment while in Europe the ancillary equipment is taken into consideration . There are no steadfast rules but figure 5 to 10%.

My understanding is that US cars have extra reinforcements in the doors.

And anyway, as there are so many Americans on this website, I just had to get their goat!!!

As to the front plate, you don't go to jail, you can risk the sticker as I have....and after all, it's a Ferrari.

But at the end of the day, better flat out with a front plate than 55 mph without one.....

Love your plate number. Just prefer it on the rear only is all.
Having it on the front interferes with aerodynamics and slows the car down. ;)

    Minimally invasive eh

How do you assess the the risk of you getting into double trouble with Swiss authorities in case you are snapped by a speed camera AND the plate appears to be at an unreadable angle for the camera -i.e. when the camera is on the right side of the road?.

I trust your driving skills on open road but you never know sometimes ;).

OK, so I threw the first rock on the front license plate, it was an attempt to poke my friend Mr. Mann since he is correct, the NA market cars have the ugly reflectors

I'm probably worse off, since it's going to be hard(er) to try to camouflage them with the 3-layer yellow exterior

As for the front plate, I've tried the decal route in the past...didn't pass muster with the California Highway Patrol.

As I've told others, I take the front plate, mount it to the factory bracket, then drive over it with my truck. I order a replacement bracket from the dealer, and keep the parts order receipt in the glove box. "You see officer, it fell off on the highway and it's broken. I've ordered a replacement, but as you know, getting parts from Italy takes time....".

On the 488 it is mounted on the rear wall of the front boot. I would imagine the same place on the F12 rear boot.

Get a quick release plate...either tow hook (RHO plate for F12) or hopefully Carbonio will come out with the quick release spring loaded job they have now for the 488, 458 and California. I use a Rho Plate.

If I get pulled over, I tell the officer I took it off for a wash and detail and neglected to put it back on. I can do that for you now...takes 30 seconds...either to screw Rho plate on or snap the Carbonio unit on. Your method, you still get the fix it ticket. My method...no ticket and a friendly warning to remember to put it back on after a car wash.

Or you can also put it on the dashboard like many do here in Switzerland.

Your plate is from Vaud but on your LaFerrari it's from Wallis (Valais). Did you move?
