I think that's a handsome looking car. Similar to the Alfa 8c, which I think is one of the best looking cars of our current era.

That's a very old rendering by some freelance 3D artist that's been doing the rounds for ages. Nothing to do with Ferrari, just a piece of art on the internet. He did a black version as well.

I can't wait for this car. In fact, I'm thinking of buying a 488 just to get one of these first.

That picture is like 3 years old and not from Ferrari.

Very simple. The 458 and 488 are just too much car to enjoy on city streets.

There's a lot of unknowns about the new Dino but ---

If it's smaller, lighter, and more engaging than the Luxo boxes the current crop has become, that's good.

And, if it's a car you can drive anywhere without worrying about "mileage" or "diminished value" then that's a good thing. Make 10,000 of them a year. I don't care.

Let Ferrari keep trying to top McLaren. Let Dino make a car that can be used without breaking every speed limit before shifting into 2nd.

I hope they spend less time in the wind tunnel and more time trying to make something that pleases the eye.

Less speed, more fun. That's what I'm hoping for. And, although I doubt it will happen, if they make a manual version that would be better also.

Why strange. I want it to depreciate like a normal car.

To me the stupidest thing on Fchat is people telling other people not to buy a certain 458 because at 5000 miles and 3 years it's "high mileage".

Really? 1500 miles a year is high mileage? A Camry with 20,000 would be considered "low".

price gap between V6 and V8 will be so big that you suddenly don't care about value?

I never cared about lost value. I wish others wouldn't either. This is my point. If we would all forget about it then more people would drive their cars more.

You should buy a Ferrari to drive it, not worry that you suddenly lost 20 grand overnight because it went from 2750 miles to 3000 miles.

My hope is the Dino breaks that rule and makes them more like 911's in that respect.

TheMayor, has hit the nail on the head- it is NUTS that people are buying 458's for upwards of 330k for a optioned car, owning them for three years and trading them in with 2500 miles or even less on the clock. What's the point of having enough money to BUY the car, but not enough money to actually enjoy it and use it? In three weeks, I've driven a 458 spider 20% of the miles the first owner put on it in three years. I bought a 328 a year ago with 11,000 miles on it- a 25 year old car, and put 3K on it in one year. ANY other car that was 25 years old with 80,000 miles on it would be considered low miles, but not Ferraris. This is the stupidest part of these cars, So bring on a car that people can drive and have fun with, instead of looking at it in their garages, wearing the drivers seat out getting in and sitting in them. It's laughable all the worn out bolsters on drivers seats in cars that have two or three thousand miles on them.

The original Dino was a spectacularly FUN car to drive, frankly really similar to a 911. Be nice to have Ferrari bring out a clone of the original Dino, and not fill it up with all the bells and whistles of all the new cars. The reliability of our modern cars, with an engine
that isn't torture to work on, in a sensuous body. With a MANUAL transmission! SIGN me up!

Agree completely. We have long surpassed the point of diminishing increases in usable performance. Faster is pointless for most of us, so once you put the ego aside, there are so many other factors that trigger our senses ... The way she looks, the smell of fine leather, consistent handling not so surgically precise as to omit all sense of speed and drama, the sounds (even if it is turbo) ... And for the love of god three pedals and a stick and I don't care how much better a dual clutch is! Yes I want LED lights and yes I want a sat nav that's awesome and a stereo that kicks butt and you can have all, those things but still have a car that's maybe just a little difficult to master but rewarding in ways that many modern cars just aren't.

Try the 570S and you have your Dino. Without prejudices, just drive an feel.
While Ferrari announces and revokes and announced and revokes and and and... (and brings those ugly collector's item like a TDF) there are companies who act.
