In the process of changing timing belts and due to the fact that I did not apply enough pressure on the vise grips to lock the cam gears, one of the gears moved. As I slackened the vise grips to try and move the gear back, both cam gears moved quite a bit. Have I caused any damage? Crank has not been moved at all during this process and have markings on all gears to front cover and gears to belt, so bringing it back to original not an issue.

Just carefully put them back. You'll be fine.

The wsm shows how to set them correctly with a dial indicator and a degree wheel.

Thanks. Just wanted to be sure I didn't have to break out the cheque book.

Just move everything back to where it was before.........that's why you marked it all.
