My post implies that in order to have the means to acquire a TDF you need many things that IMO involve luck, skill and taste not necessarily in that order. If there is an ad

If you look at my posts, I'm sure that you could come to the conclusion that I am a team player. No " feeling the bern" so to speak here.

    Regards

That says it all. You and others like you certainly deserve first dibs on the limited cars.

I don't understand your post. Everything you posted above makes no sense to the discussion. Bottom line....you need a fat check book over many years, buying many new Ferrari's before you get the chance for a limited car build invite.

There is no luck, skill, taste or team playing that matters....

You did well. 35 years of hard work, commitment to the Marque, the use of one Ferrari dealer servicing, sales and resales through the entire period, but still not such a great collection!

You're too kind. You know more about the marque asleep than I know awake.

I've been committed to the marque and buying from the same dealership for 17 + years, over 20 Ferraris, and was allocated a speciale but couldn't get an aperta. I was invited to and attended the pebble's private unveiling of the aperta but dealer didn't give me one. Was very upset until they gave me a TDF allocation. Was in maranello Taylor made last month to spec it out. I'm still confused on how the "system" works.

I will take the compliment, thanks- A little knowledge and a lot of enthusiasm since aged 13 has taken a long time to pay off but the journey has been, and continues to be, brilliant.

Wow...you really worked for the privilege too. Big congrats on the TDF. Personally, if I had to pick one it would be the TDF even though the 458 SA is rarer in number.

The tdf is the main meal with the 458 sa being a compliment;). If I had only one garage space I would pick the tdf of the laf as well.

Very nice pictures. I wish he did the horses in red stitch on the seats as it looks lacking with the red stripes but no red horses.

Camlet1, Traveler, and everyone else who has earned the privilege, I say kudos and congratulations to you! I hope to maybe join you some day. The TDF sure looks like a magnificent machine!

Who doesn't stitch the horse in the seat ? Obviously the car will sell. The buyer will have one regret at least on this spec.

Who...? A speculator who bought the tdf only to flip it!

You would think having the horse would be $1200.00 well spent for the speculator.

SPECTACULAR!!!! Not even what I would spec but just THE perfect layout for a car.

Is that 1 mil USD or EUROS?

Thanks for the pics- I really enjoy seeing them. I'd prefer the first one if it was all black alcantara but if this car just arrived in my driveway, there would be only praise and happiness! :)

The red interior and calipers would be a nice offset to the blue stripe. Plus the purity of the white paint would actually make quite a potent tdf combination.
