So sad. I can't imagine what her boys are going thru right now. So sad for them
Jon's fund is almost at $28k and the fund for Amanda's boys is close to $25k - any donation of any size makes a positive impact, let's keep the momentum going! Just as important are the words of encouragement for Jon as he continues the long road to recovery. Two ways to get a personal note to Jon: E-card: https://www.sharp.com/ecard/index.cfm (Select "Sharp Memorial Hospital" for Patient's Location). Card: Call the Sharp Memorial Gift Shop at (858) 939-3544 and order a card for delivery to Jon Warshawsky. Unfortunately the gift shop does not have a website, but if you call they will select an appropriate card and hand-write your message to Jon. Thank you to everyone for the tremendous outpouring of support for Jon and Amanda's boys! Eric
I met Jon about the same time as I bought my 348 Serie Speciale. December 2006. At the time it was down at Bobileff's getting a major and some refreshing work. Jon wrote me to report that the car was absolutely gorgeous and that I would never recognize it. He had seen it before and after Bobileff's attentions. We shared some PM's and emails. He was very supportive and gracious. So sorry for your loss, brother. May you get well soon. Vince
The news held it until the coroner's press release on Monday. Without the release they had no confirmation of death. When my dad died the coroner sat on the press release for two weeks at our request. Family may have requested the hold.
So with sadness one reads this. It is interesting how Fchat has created a community of good caring people. It is the social media for all things Ferrari but I have a sense of good heartedness, caring and compassion coming from you. It brings tears to the eyes to see this tragedy but the heart is warmed by the caring attitude. I am not adequately able to describe it as it is a feeling, an emotion. The postings here tell you a lot about the community but more about the man. He must be exceptional. I read under the dreadful youtube post that he is paralyzed from the neck down. I hope this is not the case, but another internet poster that is just full of it and just wrong. And the posts by readers under the first article are mind blowing. One has to wonder about the general public out there and if it is true measure of where we are as a society. Prayers for a speedy recovery and for the families. As a counter to the youtube post, I did find this post under the first article so hopefully this is correct: Yossi Warshawsky Jon is my brother. He is recovering and going to have surgery for one of his injuries on Monday. Hoping for a full recovery. Thank you for what you daid Like · Reply · 3 · Apr 1, 2016 2:58pm .
Even with Amanda's passing, she continues to help others. According to Rebecca Plum, Amanda's Aunt, six other people have been given the gift of life because of her organ donations. What an incredible person, what a selfless gift.
I pray the surgery went well..some of the Chatters in town can visit and maybe give us better information. Thanks for the post. This is probably the most important thing shaking, on the site right now, I shared both Funds to my FB page, that's really all we can do, looking in from the outside. Amanda's ashes are to be scattered at the Fullerton campus, per Elli England. That's a significant thing in my mind, that she loved her job, the place. That makes for a happy life.
Both funds are close to the same raised. Thanks to all contributors. Please pm or share with your friends. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
This makes me wonder..any of y'all not organ donors? Maybe this is the opportunity to think about being one. Regards, RE
That's an issue for another thread, really. I stopped over my nurse mother's insistence that I not be.
The fundraiser to benefit Amanda's boys has passed the $28,000 mark. Thank you to everyone who's donated and helped spread the word. If anyone can think of other places to share the link, I (and the family) would be most grateful. https://www.gofundme.com/amandawalzer
