Ok so for like 10 years i have shut off my car in gear. The few times i forgot it beeped at me. A few times years ago i also shut it off in neutral with the ebrake on and it did not beep.

This i remember and the owners manual confirms this is correct i think.

Now last few months it still beeps with ebrake on snd in neutral. When the ebrake is on the brake light on dash is on so computer should know this.

Any suggestions or is this like others F1s.

    Maybe my memory is going.

The two f1's I have extensive experience with both beep when turned off in neutral with hand brake engaged.

Hand brake does not communicate with the F1. They want you to park in gear, hand brake or not.

    Yup.

It is all explained in the owners manual. I read my cover to cover twice...but that's just me :)

You are one of very few.

They'd rather ask a stranger on the internet than read the factory instructions in a book provided for free.

I'll check mine when I get a chance interested to see what it does, Still working on it and its snowing again in Michigan so no real reason to rush. Too cold out for the tires.

I always park in gear just like a regular standard trans.
