I've seen this done on Porsches; has anyone seen this sort of treatment done on Aston Martins? Seen at this past weekend's "Caffeine & Octane" show here in Atlanta.

That is the Aston Martin Vantage GT.. they come like that... for some reason.

As the Devil mentioned, that's the base model Vantage "GT" they offer in these colors, with minimal options. It lets them say, "from $99,990." Most are a little more, with options.

Funny enough in 10 years they could be more desirable because they are 6spd.

If you look at some of Aston's historic racing cars, like the DB3S, the DB4GT and the like, it was very common for them to have a similar paint treatment. Usually the car was green with a yellow grille trim. Go to the Post-War Racing section of astonmartins.com to see what I mean.

yep, common design cue for the race cars for years, adopted to the road cars to show their racing pedigree...Aston's version of the Scuderia shields I guess.

I like it when done properly, red on a white car as the OP shows I could do without.

Having seen them all in person, I only like the red trim with the navy blue. The green, which I know is the Zagato green, looks like dried pond scum IMO.

    102 is magnificent!
    Which model is it?
Makes testa rossa look like designed with straight edge in comparison

DBR2. it's racing pedigree is amazing...the roster of drivers alone makes your head spin.
