The order for my car was placed October 20, 2015. It went Red 10 about a month later, at the end of November. It was just completed, April 7. Here are the pics. I think the EXTRACAMPANARIO color and the trip to Carrozzeria Zanasi cost an extra three weeks maybe. I include these timing details as people as always asking how long all this takes. I think Zanasi did a great job from how it looks. Will have to see in person though. It has couio and black two tone interior, full internal carbon, mirrored stitching which is not shown as the interior pics are from the design simulator. Beautiful color!! Not familiar with Zanasi. Are they responsible for the triple layer paint jobs?? Mine is a triple layer Rosso Bordeaux and on the line at the moment as well. Thanks.
Carrozzeria Zanasi does all the non-standard colors, like the historical, as well as the triple-layer paints I believe. They ship the body over there, paint it, and ship it back. I believe the paint comes out better than the factory robot paint jobs.
Fabulous scheme, congratulations. On my short list for the M. One of the ways one can justify the outrageous extra cost for the special colours is that, in general, at least Zanasi uses a spray gun rather than a paintbrush and thus the detailing costs are less once you take delivery.
Good to know. Mine is a historical triple layer, so hopefully that bodes well for the outcome on the paint job! Thanks.
Very very nice GT combo...congrats. Looking forward to seeing your pics after delivery. Trying to decide myself between the dark grey painted or diamond finish wheels against Ferro...your pics will help!
Do historical paint build(s) delay the car the same as Tiplo paints ? Seems like it would since the body must go off sight.
diamond finish may be the way to go since the dark painted rims look very close to the color of the car. If I did the diamond cut wheels, I would add the diamond cut front grill too.
Beautiful spec. Grigio Ferro is one one of my all-time favorite Ferrari colors and looks perfect on the F12.
Thanks...leaning that way on the wheels (had the same combo on a Spider...though those diamond wheels have a lot more diamond surface than the F12 and a lighter Ferro background if I remember correctly). On the grill, I feel like the chrome grill works best on the darker colors (Ferro being medium) and with the light painted wheels. Also, it grabs my eye a little too much.
Yes, I agree and this is what I did. Diamond cut wheels and grill both. I will post pics when I get it. I think the aluminum calipers work too.
I agree, and had my 458 done is grigio ferro also. It came out great and did not need any paint correction post-delivery. Zanasi does the whole thing by hand, the old-fashioned way.
