They are crazy with the Bloody Mary's there. I've only had one once but you can get them with burgers, steak strips...all kind of stuff. It's pretty wild and yes they are a meal along with a drink. I think they even have one they make in a pitcher now that you can share with like 4 people. If I were the bartender I'd hate 'em though, takes forever to put one together. It's kind of a fun gimmick to have one once but that was pretty much enough for me. They do have some good beer and great bar food there though.
Oh yeah, nothing says PAR-TAY like showing up at a holiday celebration with large format wine and bubbly bottles! I sent my sister a Jeraboam (3L) for her fiftieth birthday. She got a hoot out of it...T
That may just be my most favorite wine EVER. Love it. I used to be able to get it at my local Central Market but they havent had it in awhile. Great find!!! I'm trying a Guinness IPA. Yes I said Guinness and IPA together. Rather odd to be honest. Not bad but not hoppy either. Image Unavailable, Please Login
So the Guinness IPA was pretty much a letdown but I wanted to try it. It really tasted like watered down Guinness with no real hop bite which I'm used to with a good IPA. But these days I suppose you throw IPA onto any beer and it'll sell. Worked on me....once. Now thanks to Davide up above I'm obsessing over finding some Tedeschi Amarone. I'll find some but I may have to order it online.
Tried that recently. Didn't like it. Or, I should say, I still like the original much, much better. From a recent biz trip/working vacation with the wife in the San Diego area. Wines were good. Weather was great. Company was perfect. T
I hope you mean the Guinness IPA and not the Amarone! I'm more of an IPA guy than a stout anyway. But yeah I didn't think it was very good. I found the Tedeschi Amarone online and ordered a couple bottles. Seriously my all time favorite wine. And even with shipping it was less than what I used to pay for it at the store here. WA state taxes the heck out of anything booze or smoke related. With shipping about $45/bottle online and I used to pay close to $60 in the store. Well worth it in my humble opinion.
We started on cracking the coconut just under two hours ago with "Escape" on repeat. Voilà. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I was in Hillsborough, NC the other day... Mystery Brewing Company's Dragon's Mouth Tobago Pepper Belgian Pale Ale Mystery Dragons Mouth I like heat but this was too much for me. I sat down with a plate of hot tortilla chips and Cowboy Caviar. Ended up with a Tavern Alley Hazlenut Brown instead. https://untappd.com/b/regulator-brewing-company-tavern-alley-hazelnut-brown-ale/1089342
Yes sir, with mount gay rum. Just got back from dinner at limoncello in Juno beach. Started with a burrata and prosciutto di Parma and a tricolore salad. The dressing on the salad was perfect. Then a lobster ravioli and a duck l'orange or Arancia. Finished up with the chefs limoncello. The entire meal was perfect with the Merlot they have....I've already forgotten the name. Oye. Tomorrow I want to try to make a sangria. The trick, if I remember, is a touch of brandy?
Last time the wife and I were in FL to see Mets spring training, we took the slow way up to Port St Lucie from PBI (may have been FLL) via 1 and A1A. Pretty area. Anyway, on to drinks. We drink a good bit of sangria here in the summer. It's too hot to drink heavy red wines IMO. We tend to just add fruit and fruit juice to cheap white wine to keep it light, not too boozy and simple to prepare. We sometimes add triple sec, but not brandy. Mainly because we usually don't have brandy on hand, but there always seems to be triple sec left over from a batch of margaritas. We serve the sangria over frozen strawberry ice cubes. If you want to try something a bit diff, try a champagne sangria. This recipe has brandy in it. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/michael-chiarello/sparkling-sangria-recipe.html T
No sangria tonight unfortunately. Just a bit of vodka and club soda with lime. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I like it. The gluten free thing was the theme of conversation with this bottle. I can't say I've ever had drinks with anyone that actually has celiacs, but I think they just exploited the people that watch their calories while boozing. It obviously works marketing wise... Can't knock the hustle.
I normally drink Costco Kirkland wines. But Canadian Costco doesn't sell alcohol and Its been awhile since going to the U.S. Costco (even though its very close to my house). I've been drinking soft drinks instead. I don't know if these are available outside of Washington State. They are the best pops I've ever had. 5 star rated on Yelp https://www.yelp.com/biz/orca-beverage-mukilteo They have several different labels and names on each flavor produced. They use real cane sugar. A little sugary but way better then the big name bottlers.
