    As some of you are aware, I have a workshop in the North of Melbourne. Currently, I am swamped in work and am not taking in any more jobs until 2017. This assumes I work Saturday and most of Sunday of which I am currently performing. I haven't even had the chance to abuse any whoms on Fchat of late. For this reason, I am looking for a mechanic that may be interested in working with me. My specialty is specifically the 308 series (I have 7 of them on the run presently). This is 80% of my work. The balance is Dino 246, Boxer and a little modern Ferrari. I have also performed work on early Porsche 911, Maserati and Lamborghini from the same era as the 308s however I have scaled back this side over the last 12 months to concentrate on Ferrari only.

    I am looking for around 30-40 hours a week, the timing is flexible. I'm usually in at 9am and head off about 9pm, so if you wanted to start early and leave early, that's fine. You must possess extreme attention to detail. I am not interested in anyone that prides themselves on cranking out crap quality work at an alarming rate. You also must really like old cars.     The training is not that hard, you just have to like old cars, because they are very labour intensive. However, it is VERY difficult find people who are meticulous and detail orientated in ANY discipline.

    I have a friend with a business in Richmond as an independent BMW and Mercedes-Benz service centre. One of his employees is a grumpy 60 year old ex Holden dealership guy. This chap is fabulous, very careful and methodical, but had never touched either of the two marques he now specialises in.

    Alfa Romeo, Fiat or Lancia would be an ideal background for what I do, plus the ability to not fall asleep after working on the same car for more than a day would be advantageous!
