When I win the lotto, I'm shipping my car to you Joe, so you can refurb her! Great work and attention to detail!
Thank you! Before I started the restoration of this Countach, I thought I knew a fair amount about Countachs, I realize now that I knew just a little! We are restoring/refurbishing/repairing stuff that I never knew existed.
hi Joe, From the pictures it appears that the vents are vacuum controlled, that's something I never suspected, as usually airflow is controlled by flappers inside the heater unit of a modern car.I figured on a Countach they just blew air and you could open or close them, to suit your needs , we all learn something from your restoration , thanks for the detailed pictures amazing work you are doing.
Thank you for your kind words and the interest in the project. What can I say? I too am learning a lot more, and I hold these cars in even higher esteem through this process. The fact that the former owner of Automobili Lamborghini is both aware & following is very special also, I'd better not screw up!
I suspect there is a very large emphasis on the 'labour' aspect of all this that Joe is modestly glossing over...
