If anyone ever says that to me, I will respond with:

Yes, and I used all original Ferrari parts, took years to find them all !

I spotted a 458 gtb in the parking lot of a mall ....I hadn't looked at one close up before...anyhow the owner n his missus came back to the car and I said what a great looking car they had .he said it was his first Ferrari and much faster than his previous Porsche...I mentioned that I had an older F car. Oh really he asked which one? 77 308 gtb I said...gave me a puzzled look and then he replied

    Hmmm dunno that one!

They were in their fifties I guess ...made me chuckle a bit.

In the usual sports bar in Shanghai...many tv's, etc.

F1 is in town this weekend so I wore my cavallino hat. Bartender says she likes my hat. I told her im wearing it to support my favorite f1 racing team, Ferrari.

She looks at my hat and says "ahh, horse. I love horse racing!!!"...

Anyway, we had a lovely conversation about horse racing.

Yeh i guess so .probably move on to a Lambo or something next time.

I have read quite a few comments saying the 458 is somehow 'softer' and not a 'raw' etc as some previous models but to my eyes it is still a stunningly beautiful piece of machinery.Have to wait a while before i can afford one though!

We had some friends over to watch a basketball game, so I ordered a couple of pizzas for pick-up at the local Pizza Guys. I know the owner well, so I asked that he put the pizzas in their heat insulation delivery bag to keep it warm and I'll return it the next morning. I drove to the place to pick up the order.

As I was walking out with the pizzas, a Charger SRT Hellcat was parked right next to my 360 Spider. The young man sitting in the car ask me why did I get a Ferrari instead of a Charger like his? Besides, with 485HP, it'll beat the pants off the Ferrari any time.

I said, "you will have to excuse me because I'm running late. The Ferrari is plenty fast in delivering pizzas". He stared at me in disbelief.

You should have said, "Because your car will always be... A Dodge..."

+1. Or, "If I were going to buy a Dodge I'd at least get a significant one."

If some guy in a MOPAR decides to start something he pretty much deserves what he gets.

I know I can respond in different ways to the guy, but I didn't want to perpetuate the negative image of a stuck-up, poser, _________ , __________ (fill in the blanks) Ferrari owner. I try to be a good Ferrari Ambassador when strangers stops me to talk about the F-car. And I definitely have a soft spot for kids and teenagers. :)

Love that story. I young dude in the back of a Charger or Dart, not sure which, right in front of Fairmount Copley asks me, "Does it have a hemi?" So I school him, "yes all Ferrari's are hemis." I should have coughed under my breath "cough-FIAT!-cough."

Then on Newbury street a year or so ago and drunk chick in the back of a cab pulls alongside. Is that a real Ferrari? Yes... next stop sign. Is it Reeeeeaaaally? Yes, 1994, 348 Spider. :)

I work with teens and make a point to do charity events with my car for children. The kids get it and are completely honest and enthusiastic. That makes it all worth while. Talk about inner child! :D

Um, I thought to be a hemispherical head it would have to be a 2 valve head. Your 348 is a four valve with a pent roof chamber or something. It can't be a hemi. The five valve cars certainly can't be Hemi. Someone can correct me if this is wrong.
