Fair enough, I completely understand your logic there. Hopefully in the near future the car situation will get sorted and I can join in that way, as I'm sure you all are putting on a great event and I'd really like to take part. Thanks for the response!
Very true. Learned the location & name of this event because a couple friends had showed reportedly showed interest in attending. Thought it was a bit odd an invite-only meet would have a posted event up.
I'm happy to take a passenger any time that I don't already have one. I have one tomorrow. I understand the perspective of the spectators completely, but I also get where the owners are coming from. C&C is out of control and there's no hope that it'll improve. People have NO respect for the cars. Not all people, but way too many. My car isn't that special and it makes me nervous. Add that to the juvenile burn outs and numerous crashes, not a good event. This event is secure, you can't get in without an invite. Knowing the time and place won't help you.
It was my first time at the event, and I will be back. Nice, laid back atmosphere, with some great cars to look at. The rain possibility may have kept the numbers down, but plenty of quality cars there. The ZR1 was relegated to the American row, which was all Viper's and me. Had never seen a GT 4 before, and Doc C's Carrera is always worthy of some photos. Sorry you have to put up with a few of my artsy-fartsy shots, but that's how I roll. Hopefully I'll get the car back from Norwood with enough time to get the front end repainted, before the May meet, and (assuming my lowly 308 can get an invite) I'll bring it out.
