Just like the title says. I have the carbon racing seats. Long trips tend to get tiring. Wonder if its possible to order/change my seats to the standard ones?

If it is anything like Maserati, it will cost you a small fortune to change the seats. Brace yourself for when you hear the price.

You might be able to find someone to trade the race seats for their sofa seats if you have a color match.

I would think the physical change wouldn't be too difficult- but there could be some electronic considerations (these seats have all kinds of sensors/ connections these days.) And then there is the cost of buying the seats... (buying from the parts dept is likely going to be pretty big $).

You might want to see about having some seat pads made that could somehow attach to the racing seats. My guess is this would be relatively inexpensive vs the actual switch.

Used F12 comfort seats with following electronics are about 8k + labor work. I would say whole adventure would cost you 10k.

Seems the logical choice. Anybody here have any recommendations for a good company who would make custom solutions like this? I live in LA/Beverly Hills area.

If you were in the NE I would have some but for CA I really don't- however- I bet if you post a request in the CA section you could find many great options. I would look to a shop that does a lot of high end custom work- you'll want to match the fit and finish. I would want to work with someone local so you could easily come back for any tweaks etc.

    Good input above.

    To add -

    1) IMHO, the cost and hassle of attempting a seat swap is probably bigger than you'd want. Finding a pair of matching seats (time, cost), then the install....

    2) Ask in the CA section and ask the local dealers who they use for upholstery work. SoCal has a LOT of talent, I'm a bit dated.

    3) One serious option would be to have a custom seat made; I've had friends do this. Essentially, the OEM seat foam is removed, a custom bead seat is poured that is contoured to you, covered in some comfort foam, and re-covered.

You mentioned it's uncomfortable, but not why. Make sure you know what you're trying to fix (eg. bottom tilt, thigh support, lumbar, upper shoulders, etc). One simple alternative would be to have an insert made; we did that for my wife and covered it in OEM leather and matching stitch....we call it her booster seat, works great.

FWIW I've seen a number of people who find the seat uncomfortable, until it's adjusted and the wheel and pedal orientation is adjusted.

I just joined as a new F12 owner. Mine has black on black Daytona seats that I think is what you are looking for. I purchased mine used so I couldn't spec it exactly how I wanted but would enjoy the racing seats. It all depends on the color combination but if you want to PM me with some pics we can discuss. I'm also in the same geographic location in CA so it may potentially work.

I have the carbon racing seats (Size L) in black with yellow stitching. The new pattern with the perforations which look like yellow dots. I wouldn't sacrifice the yellow stitching though cause the entire cabin is the same.

Lemme know how it goes. Very curious to see the effort involved and the results.

I agree with you. That is not worth sacrificing. I wonder if you can get some type of a custom removable cushion built that you can you on longer trips.
