4 x 6 were 1977+. 1975 & 1976 were 5" square and the speaker depth changed in 1976. Blaupunkt originals are probably impossible to find and the sound is probably not very good.
One would be so right for my 77 930 which spent its prior life in Andial ( Long Beach ) territory and prowled the streets long before "fast and furious". A local Porsche club member who went to grad school in LA early 80s remembers the car with it's unusual color from street shenanigans he attended. Cross post from pelican - this gentleman is looking for any info on his '76 VIN 930670408. can someone help me find info 76 930 - Pelican Parts Technical BBS
Good afternoon, I am thinking of putting on a black Porsche script lateral sticker on my 76 copper brown. Would that be period correct? I think the 930 at the Driven by Disruption sale late last year had one. Thanks
Porsche door script was an option for 1975 Turbos but appear to have dropped off the option list when gravel guards were fitted in late-1975. I have not seen a 1976/1977 Turbo COA with them but it's possible that some were fitted even through the late-1970s with 3.3 liter Turbos.
More photos from Luftgekühlt A windshield VIN plate, 9305700226, is visible in one of the photos...added during the RoW to U.S. conversion. Very cool that the windshield still has two state registration decals. 2003 Pelican thread on '75 #0226 9305700226-What is it? - Pelican Parts Technical BBS Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
looking for a sunroof delete 930 that still has all original factory paint, low miles and none or minimal aftermarket mods. car can be in US or Europe. PM if you got something.
Hi everyone, I am selling my 77 3.0 - unfortunately. If anyone is interested, let me know, I have a few parties that are looking at the car this week and next week. But I guess it would be better off in the US. All US parts are still there, including the emission stuff I took off the car. Car is in Berlin, Germany: Porsche 930 als Sportwagen/Coupé in Berlin Cheers, Simon
That car came from Missouri, anybody know what part? I live in SW Missouri and passed on a car years ago that had engine trouble, same color with the turbo graphics. $15k was too much back then, now I kick myself.
Anyone know why the 77 930 had such a poor result at Mecums Huston auction? Besides the fact Mecum is the WRONG place to a 930. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Looking at the car online it was EXTREMELY rough, missing many interior parts, 5 speed transmission and modded engine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Still pretty cheap. Someone got a really good "Mecum "deal. Looked like many good buys across the spectrum when I watched it.
Got my coa back. I didn't know the silver metallic was a PTS color, also the interior is leather to sample, this may make my compassionate restoration more complicated Image Unavailable, Please Login
Car is getting some mechanical work done now so cant get to paint tag but interior looks like this Image Unavailable, Please Login
Let me look at my books for leather colors for 76. Problem with COA's is they are full errors - hard to trust them 100 %. Also PTS can mean quite a few different things. Beautiful color interior any shots of exterior you can post. Phil
So here is what I find for interiors colors for a 76- that looks like Russet (copper brown) to me but hard to know for sure. The 99 codes for 76 were light green, dark green, dark brown, blue, light red, yellow and white, is sure isn't any of those. You might back to PCNA and ask them to double check. Post paint code when you can. Phil
From this view, the only way to know this is a 1977 model year is by the oval speaker hole pattern in the rear parcel shelf. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Some good news from Porsche and Pirelli with respect to tires, perhaps an OE style for the 930? Porsche, Pirelli team up to offer tire options for classics
ha that would be great, although render worthless the painstakingly sourced cache of CN36 and P7s I've been hoarding for my 76 & 78!
