I completely agree with this. One thing I would do is not get the front lower "splitter" in body color as the dark lower rocker pieces and also dark rear end treatment are all visible from the side as is this splitter- when you look at the side view you'll see they all line up. If one of them is painted the symmetry is ruined. I also note the car here has the air intake vents painted black- which gives even more contrast. But I bet the underlying material is grey plastic and a few rock chips wold expose it. So you would want to film those pieces also if you go with this car. In the end its all personal taste but I think the F12 is already a fairly large car and any visual tricks to thin it out are to its benefit. It occurs to me you have a somewhat specific list of wants here. Maybe its best to see if you could put an order in for one specced exactly as you want it? Yes you will pay more but it will be exactly your way.
I saw that you like the Rosso corsa F12 if you like look at mine it is in my garage which I believe you have access to. iChose Rossi corsa with the dark grill dark forged wheels and the dark sport sills I did this after carefull consideration and agree with the others the dark sills Make the car look more slender .. Anyway, may not be what your looking for but take a look.. To be clear the car is not for sale I just am offering As an example.. Larry
Great spec Larry. Painted sills are out ! Nice touch with the CF in the engine bay...is that aftermarket or OEM ?
Talking to my dealer today, finally...He told me I can get my own build for September delivery. That makes things interesting. Get it my way and pay more...lol. So now I am playing in the configurator. I may start my own thread on the subject asking advice, bouncing off idea's if you all don't mind should I commit to this direction tomorrow.
I'm in for the last build slot at my dealer !!!! Sending out my deposit tomorrow. I will be getting near end production of the F12. I'm so excited. I plan to start another thread on my build so I can put the spec in mid-next week. He says end September delivery.
That is great and on my car re the engine compartment carbon fiber that is factory installed and it includes two options the engine compartment and airboxs .. Ferrari of course thinks very highly of their carbon fiber but it is what it is, Larry
Congratulations! Nothing like a new supercar that you personalized yourself. Buying it "turnkey" from a dealer would have meant that you miss out on the personalization process, some dilemmas regarding your choices (sometimes frustrating, but well worth it), waiting for your car to be built, and so on... until you finally see what you visualized in front of you. You should try to finalize soon, assuming the production slot your dealer is talking about already exists and they don't have to wait for one. The best outcome is for Ferrari to build your car and ship it before the August vacation in Italy. That way, you get a 2017 model year car, but also get it as early as possible.
That was my thought....3 mos to source parts, 2 mos to build means the car ships before August break and I get it toward the end of September. I plan to finalize my spec early next week. This is very exciting for me.
Congrats on the quick delivery and deciding to do your own custom spec! In addition, the consensus here seems to be that the infotainment system is much better on the 2016 cars.
christian the infotainment upgrade is six more cylinders and four more exhausts 😀😀enjoy speccing it up its half the fun Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Read a few posts on here about it, just recently. The screen is more hi-def and the functionality is easier to use. software update..
This is my first posting as a new member....for many years I have owned a highly modified Nox injected Custom painted Testarossa and it has well over 700 bhp but it is 30 year old technology....so Last June I purchased a second Fcar - a beautiful black 2008 599 GTB F1 Fiorano and I thought wow what a beautiful car. I drove that car for 8 months and 12000 km and enjoyed it immensely. Great clutch, great throttle response and great brakes but the best part for me was the way it handled!! Well...Last week I traded that 599 in for a 2014 F12 with 2902 km. HFS!! This car is a rocket on wheels and the steering inputs are so precise it is unbelievable. The acceleration is awesome. This is without a doubt the finest car I have ever had the privilege of owning/driving. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very nice. Diamond cut painted wheels ? I may ultimately do that for my spec...currently forged darked painted.
Honestly man, you dodged a bullet. Regardless how much money you have, its simply a waste to have two supercars in your garage with a daily parked out in the driveway. Cost of ownership, insurance, service, etc... Best decision i ever made was to sell all my cars, keep the F12 and use it as my daily. Bought the wife her daily (Benz SUV) and we use it when we need to do things that require a big trunk. Otherwise, the F12 is perfect in all weather conditions (in California, lol). You have no idea how free i feel with that spare change in the bank. Car includes 3 years warranty and free service. All i pay is gas and insurance. Ultimately, to each his own, but i realised that even though i could afford to own several...its simply an unnecessary waste. A depreciating asset that sits around hardly being driven.
