Sorry, I don't understand it, especially for the money involved. I actually posted a non contentious question on a thread here asking someone to explain to me the appeal of these 'largo' style cars. I wasn't trying to be damning, I just wanted to try and understand their appeal. It was an honest question and no one replied.
Those products are intended to be sold to 20 years old Oil rich guys, the kind of dudes living in an area in Qatar or UAE with already 20 F12's, and all they want is to stand out from the crowd. @ROMO : I'm not sure to understand why you posted this for me. I never expressed an attraction for Novitec products ahaha seriously...
Russian mobsters seem to share the same tastes as Oil-Heads. And since ridiculous Bodykits like Novitec and mansory are not enough , they wrap them in gold... Anyway back on topic : Peter's beauty at Monza https://www.instagram.com/p/BEggjAvKMVn/?tagged=f12tdf https://www.instagram.com/p/BEgHjkgPL5O/?tagged=f12tdf https://www.instagram.com/p/BEhMBh9tJ7r/?tagged=f12tdf And a delicious Grigio Medio tdf with a special finish on the wheels, I can't say if the wheels are in body color or in Grigio Corsa like peter... https://www.instagram.com/p/BEgyx9zzU2Z/?tagged=f12tdf
Wasn't being contentious - just said what I thought about the look. In terms of your question, I don't understand the appeal. I do understand that people like to take things and make them their own in some way and perhaps also want to stand out. Perhaps that's the case of these style cars. That's also how Ferrari takes money off us with Atelier and Tailor Made. No different really from people that want loud exhaust systems - I assume they like that their's sounds different and they are noticed. Not a criticism - just my take on it.
It's like high end fashion. You can go get something nice from Hugo boss, Gucci or you can go haute couture. As a rough generalisation the haute couture area is an area for pure artistic expression without much regard to utility. A high end fashion photo shoot also has very little to do with daily reality as the more abstract it is, the more artistic it becomes. A standard f12 has very little to add it as it's beautiful to begin with like something from Hugo Boss etc. But there are those that are bored with that and want to go more abstract, edgy, tailored, unique etc. Sure there is the tdf but even that is like a limited run within Hugo Boss. It's just an exercise in expression.
My post to you was intended to be whimsical as you are the quickest to post any tdf pics from other media sites. I'm sorry if it was misconstrued in any way.
Btw, I should have also added that I'm very appreciative of ALL the content you post on FCHAT. Best, ROMO
Ahahahah no problem... Ferrari is my religion and aftermarket the biggest sin ! Vade retro Mansory and novitec !!! ahahah and thanks for having added one more word to my english vocabulary : "Whimsical" Are you still undecided about your specs ?
My car was shipped from Maranello yesterday to UK, so should be good to pick up on May 6th. Cannot wait. I did think of a factory hand over, but no time for the drive back at the moment.
I don't think it is an TDF, look at the rear side windows, those are from a regular F12. Still a waste to even destroy a "normal" F12 for this though, imo.
I'm not sure it's Fuoco. Could be Nuevo Rosso F1 or possibly Corsa metallic. I've considered both for my spec.
It's hard to distinguish the reds sometimes... Shiraz, did you finalize your spec ? I love both your GTO and Laf... the Tdf should be as nice !
