I love seeing these cars wind up in the hands of caring owners. :) It was a car just like yours that not only changed my opinion of 348s, but caused me to want one. Good luck with the concours.

I have some of the best people in my corner for this car! The thing I love the most is everyone says, 'drive the hell outta it, it wants it!'

It sings at hi revs and it was a personal bucket list item to own a Ferrari and to own one at 37 AND one that I coveted when I was a kid made it most excellent!!!!

The funniest thing is that the engine is all you need to listen to, but I am a stereo music kind of guy and the first owner put some crazy sound system in it and I updated it....Now it sounds awesome with the iPhone plugged in.....I love this car so much

    Sorry for geeking out....

Heck, I'm right there with you! I absolutely love driving mine. Just about to head over to the house where it lives to work on the amp mount so I can trade the space-wasting amplifier bling in the front trunk for something more powerful, but hidden. Never understood people who say the engine note is enough all by itself-- that's like having lobster without butter or a cigar without whisky.

AGREED 100%!!!! I love the sound of the car and music playing at highway speed. The previous owner put in a custom box in the shelf in the back with 4 smaller subs and running 150 x 1 then 75 x 2 up front. I put in some high end components because what was in there failed and were toast....Then topped it off with a nice Alpine CD player with BT and USB. What more can you ask for!!! It bumps with bass and the highs are crisp. What a combo on a spring / summer day! When I found the car it was a complete bonus that it had the stereo components already in there....tons of money saved!!!!!

    Your car looks great!

Nice low-light shots too. What camera/settings did you use? I'd normally need a tripod for that (no flash?).

THANKS WADE!!!!!!! Here's the best part --- iPhone 6 std shot then had a app and just did a different filter --- No flash and the low level light was literally at dusk where the sun was setting behind my house.

I had a feeling that your solution was a whole lot easier than things used to be.

I noticed that your iPhone has little distortion as well; no wide-angle "fish-eye" look. Gotta love technology! :)

My Windows Phone takes great pics, except during low light conditions (with or without flash).

I took the stereo out of my 348. If anyone wants the amp and shelf mounted auxiliary speakers, make me a decent offer.

I have to say that I love the look of the 348's tail lights.

For years growing up I felt that all Ferrari's should have round tail lights, and when the Testarossa came along, the tail lights looked okay but nothing special (in fact, the lights themselves looked as though they been taken off a more mundane, everyday car!).

When the 348 came out though, then My opinion changed, and now I own one, I love the look of the tail lights.

Even to this day, there's something a bit futuristic about them due to their width and the fact that they're partially hidden by the grille (on the standard models).

This is one of My favourite shots of My car:

    Yes, great shot.

+348, Phil! The tail lights are one of my favorite aspects of the 348's styling-- love 'em. Great shot of your car. :)

Apparently Frank & I aren't the only ones who enjoy tunes in our 348s. :). I have one of those on my car, but honestly I wish it weren't there since I seldom listen to music over the air and the antenna complicates detailing. Far from the biggest worry I gave though, so it stays... for now, at least.

Mine has an antenna, too. I've owned the car for 5 months and have only turned on the stereo one time, and that was on the drive home after purchasing the car.

I must confess, there is something quite sensual about the rear flanks of the 348 (and the 355) - They're like sexy hips on a gorgeous looking woman!

Hmmmm....... That was fitted when the car was new back in 1990 (the bill for it is still in the folder of bills and service records that go with the car). It's a bit noisy going up and down these days but it still works properly and the installation was carried out very carefully by the looks of it.

TBH, I'd rather have had the roof mounted aerial but when I bought the car two years ago, there were only two RHD 348 TS' available in the UK and this was the better of the two (the other did have the roof mounted aerial though).

Usually, the Italian "Otto cilindri" opera behind My head is all the aural entertainment I require, but there are times when it's nice to add to the occasion with an additional soundtrack.

I picked a friend up in the city centre one hot summer night, and she had a memorable journey home with the roof off and some Miami Vice-esque 80's music playing on the stereo (She's only a good friend BTW - Nothing more before anyone asks, despite the tunes! ;) ).

It probably looked a bit sad to those outside the car, but it was fun to do inside the car!. Picture listening to these as you drive through the city in an open top Ferrari on a warm summers night:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KivAB6LrcBo
(And no! - I didn't have Phil Collins: "In the air tonight" on the disc! ;) )

Currently I have the best of AC/DC on the stereo and believe Me when I say, there is something quite pleasurable about bumbling along through a quiet English village at 25~30 mph in an open top Ferrari on a sunny day, with "Thunderstruck" playing - Especially when you get the exhausts booming like thunder when you lift off the throttle!

(Yes it's a bit childish, but as I've always said: "Grown ups are boring!" :) )

Picture this with Ferrari lift-off exhaust thunder!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYFdldfYEJk

I think what is throwing off the light in that pic is the surrounding lights....next time tap the screen for the phone to focus for light on the car --- it will dim the surrounding lights and bring up 'light' on the car....see if that helps. Otherwise great pic!!!!!

I have antenna delete! No radio reception but I grew up with CD's --- which I still have and all you need is a white cord for iPhone to USB or BT!

Its funny how some cars have it and some don't......

Almost done but it's coming back off to correct the shim and bracket order (augh) and raise the fitment a but more. Using a floor jack to help plus neighbor if possible. Dont' want to ruin that beautiful new paint.
