I have both a 2015 458 Italia and a 2015 650S By the way I test drove the 488, The Raw sounding emotional feeling of the 458 is gone. However the 488 is a overall better car reminds me of a 650s. Here are some photos My personal opinions, I love both cars and obviously can't be biased since I own both. The Ferrari has sexier lines looks nicer in general Ferrari sits a bit lower Interior is much roomer Sounds 10000000 X better The way it feels, shifts drives more raw feels like a sports car. The 650s draws more attention- People don't really know what a mclaren is and always ask me how much the car costs... I always tell them to guess and they answer in the millions every time. Much easier daily driver, very soft.. can drive like a lexus on certain settings. Much faster- no comparison here but unless you track it honestly you're not zipping a 100 mph on the streets. It sounds like ****- Have to be brutally honest I have the standard sports exhaust but I'm looking to upgrade to aftermarket. No emotion when driving it, no crazy blips when downshifting, the "fun" factor for a 458 is no where near. Let me know if you guys have any questions of considering the 650s I actually love the car, I drive it way more then the ferrari its meant to be driven everyday where as i'm like a little kid when the weekend comes so I can take out the 458., Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I actually daily drive the 650s. I had a maserati Granturismo S, but I was hardly driving it anymore so I got rid of it. I have a company lease of a bmw 3 series if I ever need long drives its usually parked on the street under a tree with a bunch of bird crap on it collecting dust lol.
I rented the 650 s for 6 hours not on a track but city and highway driving (don't track my cars and didn't need to be convinced that it probably goes fast). I agree with all of this and I also thought that as much as I drive my cars, which is a lot.......that the higher degree of difficulty in getting in and out of the 650s would get on my nerves after a while. Major props for the doors though. Lol The lack of downshift blips certainly added greatly to the boredom in my case. Love the 650 s in white though! Great pics.
awesome pair. IMO 458 is the most beautiful Italian supercar since the Miura.... Macca---not so much (sorry)
I had a 458 and now a 650s. Your forgot to mention that the 650s is build way better than the Ferrari. I hated my Ferrari, Love the 650s.
I did say on certain settings it feels like a Lexus, I feel like older gents would definitely prefer the 650s.
Great excuse to keep flexible!!! I know of an 82yr old who drives a Lotus Elise... so there is no excuse really!!
True, I mean i'm an athletic 30 year old so I don't have any problems but I can see if you have back issues
Thanks for your impressions. Since you said the MAC is less roomy inside compared to the 458, I can write Mac off !!! I'm 6'7" and it's tight yet comfortable for me in the 458. I'm hoping my F12 on order is roomier yet.
I was going to say so you're gonna get a 458? But I remember seeing your for sale ad. To say your 458 was beautiful is an understatement.
Love my 650S and my 458. They are different cars, but both cool. Looking forward to getting my 488 to compare. Nice 650 and 458 you have congratulations. Image Unavailable, Please Login
