..But it did 3 years ago!!!...maybe it were several bags....
Haas is the story that is interesting to me. First year and after only a handful of races are in 5th place in the constructors championship.. And they are using a Ferrari engine. Well done.
I see, I am just the same. It's easier to blame someone, when you don't like him in the first place. Human nature, I suppose ...
There were rumours floating around that Lewis had the best of the Mercedes engineers on his side of the garage and that Nico's crew were made up of the "left overs". Mercedes decided to swap both driver's crews over, to show the World that there was no difference whatsoever between the quality of the crews on either side of the garage. Yes, but even Brundle and Herbert were mentioning his deportment today, no excuses. I was shaken they broached the topic .
1 second a lap quicker. Keep in mind Kimi was pushing for Lew, on I believe slightly newer tires (Massa had new SS tires with a few laps to go).
Rosberg is doing a great job this year. A great job. I'm not a fan of his but I can't deny is being very effective. If he wins, it won't be through luck. Good to see mclaren get some points. Progress, but still way down on power. Solid progress from last year. Same for Haas. Great performance again from Gros. As for Kyviat - he needs to be removed from F1 until he has learnt to drive. What a disgrace that amateur pay driver is.
Watched the race with the US commentators, and a healthy dose of watching split times on the F1 app. At one point Mr. Bring The Action announcer was speculating that Alonso would catch Massa with Felipe's late pit stop...totally oblivious to the 41 second gap Massa had in hand. The NBCSN crew made no mention of Hamilton going around turn 2 on the first lap, they focused on the collision of Vettel and ignored everything else, and then "hey, Hamilton's up into the top 5" out of nowhere.
I treat NBC's announcers like I am the cast of MST3K. If there isn't someone with me to laugh and make jokes at the announcers, I won't tune in.
It seems that F1 always needs someone to hate. Before it was Maldonado, today it's Kvyat. I remember Schekter being crucified long time ago, and also Patrese, and there was Jarier too. Strange that last year at Monaco Verstappen got away with it for provoking a similar incident to the Kvyat-Vettel episode . And what about the Alonso-Guttierez shunt that was called a "racing incident", when the Spaniard completely misjudged the distances and rammed the Haas?
Two mistakes, he hit Vettel twice. But yes, he's usually better than that. Red mist in his homeland? Overall, an entertaining race, but it was a bitter thing to lose one of the Ferraris on lap 1. All the best, Andrew.
Yes, of course. I could clearly see Kvyat missing his breaking, but the next contact I couldn't understand. Vettel seemed very slow through the corner when he was hit again.
Vettel said on the BBC that he was not confident be didn't have damage to the rear of the car or a puncture, so he was needing tentative and wasn't at full throttle. Kvyat claimed Vettel braked, but it really doesn't seem like that was the case and, given that Kvyat got his 10 second stop-go penalty for the second impact and not the first, it would seem that the stewards disagree with Kvyat's assessment of that one. Apart from that, it was actually a pretty good race. All the best, Andrew.
