Interesting on the BA as I bothered to get a sample of it from the factory and despite the LF photos, it has no grey in it. in fact when you look at in in sunlight, it has a very high red and green metalflake content and was disappointing.

I haven't seen Blu Ahrabian live but it always looked like a greyish blue to me. Maybe it has no actual grey but in my mind that reads as it... anyway, to the topic: if I get permission I could later share a picture which shows the mystery tdf colour better.

It appeared so in the pics but however I tried with whatever light, let me assure you having had a sample from the factory in my hand there is ZERO grey in it, otherwise I would have had it on my tdf.

I believe you. Maybe the metal flake in pictures can give a wrong grey impression... Or maybe the factory f'd it up when they sent you the sample :D

Many flippers keep getting cars quite simply because they give part of their profits back as kickback to people at Ferrari factory or dealers. Not complicated system. If you know who to ask you can find people within the factory selling build spots for premiums over MSRP.

I don't think the rightmost car is Silverstone, most probably Ferro:

Probably. I was tinking the same while I was writing. So ... what do you think of the "Unknown Grey " now that it's sitting near a Ferro car ?

It is gorgeous. It arrived at same time I was dropping off my car for service yesterday. I have a verbal NDA ;), but now it's out here on the internets.

Are you the new owner? if so, congrats.

It's curious. That's your first post but pictures of this car on the production line have already been posted a few weeks ago... Am I confusing ?

Definitely somewhere between Silverstone and CdF :D :D :D

But, seriously, IMO not as dark as that Granito you posted. My bet would be CdF provided some of you, I think even Traveller, have ruled out Silverstone.

Often there are comments on the thread here that diamond stitching is supposedly racing heritage and traditional. I have seen it on the gearbox tunnels of some 250 tdf but never on a seat. This applies to 250 TDF, SWB, GTO and 275 GTB.

Does anyone have a picture of this traditional stitching on a seat? Kind of puzzled.

I believe new poster is related to previous poster but I should let them confirm. I don't know either of them but happened to be in the right place at the right time. I saw it again today. Stunning in person.

I know what you mean and I think you're completely right. Back in the 50's and 60's the diamond stitching or quilting was applied everywhere on interiors except for the seats themselves. Transmission tunnels, rear shelves, etc. but impossible to find a diamond seat. Looks like it is a free modern interpretation of the interior styling. Anyway, the diamond pattern looks undoubtedly vintage, so there you go...

I'm not crazy. My memory was good.

That car belongs to Fchat Member JBSGONE

So ... Who's JonS ? Are JBSGONE and JonS the same person ?

I believe the "S" is shared in the screen names for a reason. I only checked out this thread because I saw the car yesterday and today and stumbled across info.

I'm refraining from posting any photos or info. I believe the buyer/owners should get that privilege. As indicated in the Regional section, the car will on display at Ferrari of Atlanta Saturday. Maybe more photos will pop up here at that time.
