Italian 2016 trip with a fun factor added

    7 Ferraris are off to Italy again in about 3 weeks. This year we have a different mixture of Ferraris. A silver Mondial QV cab and a Grigio 308 QV is added to the crowd. We added a fun factor which started last year with some name decals on the F430. This year we made it more fun and everyone chooses a classic racer and mimic the decals on your own Ferrari. I've choosen for the 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Competizione No.61 variant.

    Since the 308 has the same color as my Mondial it gets the same decal treat so that they are twin sisters. I'm waiting on some door decals, but here is a preview.

    If I'm correct this was the layout the Belgian cars got in the Ecurie Francorchamps from Jaques Swaeters.

    Funky!

    I was thinking also of doing a Moneytron decal on the windscreen. But the yellow band is awesome! Makes it stand out on a non red car.

    Some car spotters already spotted me in Amsterdam. It's somewhere on Instagram. I have a lot of thumbs up and I've got never so much attention :) Tourist have no clue, but Dutch are laughing there pants off :)

    I wanted to keep it for myself:):) now everyone knows what my basement looks like! haha!

    Two weeks to go and then we are off. First some maintenance on the 360. Known issue on the exhaust manifolds that were ticking. I like working on a 360! so much space! 2 manifolds in 2 hours.

    The rest of the day driving around to bleed the coolant system.

    Next Friday we will decal the 308 GT4 as a Fast Fiat.

    It sure is Jeff and together you come with great ideas! and real money savers. The replacement of the exhaust manifolds only costed 500USD from Ebay. If you were to do this at F workshop it will cost you 4000 since they do not use used parts and also do not want to place it when you bring it in yourself.

    It sure is already some great fun! On Tuesday morning we will depart from our usual square where we have a small breakfast.

    The pics will follow. Probably during the trip.
    In the meantime I was spotted by some car spotters at a famous Dutch shopping store.

    I love that 308gt4, it's retro gorgeous! Cars do look great with decals on, I did my Lotus V8gt in a Le Man's livery back in 2000, it went down a storm.
    Your Mondial looks terrific with the Italian go faster stripes. :)

    Our first visit will be the Porsche museum in Stuttgart in Germany and then the next morning the Porsche factory. After lunch we will hit the road again strait to Italy.
