I know many here have multiple Ferraris but for sake of the thread focus on your favorite (yes another can of worms)

I voted for Performance on Street, but to clarify its the Feeling I get from it it. Specifically the sense of occasion, the excitement, the gorgeous look, the smell of the leather, the sound of the high reving engine, the quick turn-in, the click-clack of the gated shifter. Thats what I'm in it for. A visceral experience.

Owning a Ferrari and a Lamborghini were my dreams. Had the posters on my wall, and now I have the cars in my garage.

Wanted one based on the following:

    1) Appreciation for design (Flying buttresses & Pop up headlights)
    2) Sound of the engine (Wailing F1 sound on the older model's mostly 90's Ferrari's)
    3) Childhood dream (Had posters & diecast models)
    4) Sound of the horn (thought it was very cool Fiamm)

For me personally it has nothing to do with brand, status symbol, performance, heritage and technology.

Family conspires against the wife & I taking long vacations, so driving any of our fancy cars - Benz, Porsche, Ferrari - is like a mini vacation, an exercise in attitude readjustment, and a chance to do something together. Additionally, we've met a lot of great people via the ownership experience...T

I really just wanted a 308 gt4-for yrs. They just don't make prod cars like this any longer. Tube frame, 4 carbs, no cats, easy to work on. I've had faster cars but it's plenty fast. Love the 70s 'this is what the future looks like design.' Nobody knows what it is but when they do its a great conversation.

"All of the above" ought to be an option. Otherwise, I can't vote, because all are applicable to one degree or other.

Another option should be, "Because good Gremlins are too hard to find." ;)

I am drawn to its looks and beauty. The rest (heritage, brand status, etc) won't do it for me if I am not attracted to the car.

Simply fun and enjoyment. The sound is amazing. I love the rifle bolt action of the gated shifter, throttle response, short gearing and high rpm capability makes it a blast to drive around.

I suppose performance on street would be the closest option on your poll but it's much more than that.

I could spend less on a Corvette (and have), resulting in higher street performance but less enjoyability.

I voted Heritage. But not in the classical sense. It's the love affair I had as kid that is impossible to shake.

I chose Engineering/Technology because I love the mechanical aspect of ownership. In other words, when something's not quite right I enjoy doing the research and applying the knowledge gained to trouble-shooting and then repairing the problem.

Fixin' Ferraris for myself... heaven on Earth. :)

Heritage, engineering and technology (at the time it was built). I've wanted one since I was a kid.

I voted "other." Basically, if I am honest with myself, it is because I need a little aggravation and drama to go with passion, or its boring. I mean, who wants to live with a beautiful, affectionate, intelligent, accomplished woman who loves to do everything you do and appreciates your sense of humor? How much fun is that?

It's gorgeous. I fell in love with the 308, bought the improved 328, and that's what I want. I can stare at the curves, scoop, and buttress for hours.

I may get something faster someday, but it will be an "and" and not an "instead". I could be driving a 360 or 430 now, but I'd have to sell the 328. That's not happening.

    Because this is gorgeous.
