360 (starfish) wheels on Mondial, smaller width?

Hello all,

so I am happy using the 360's wheels on the Mondial and it is time to replace the tires.

Since they are filling the rear wheel well a bit too much for my tasting I was thinking about going smaller in width,
the two next sizes would be 265/40 R18 and 255/45 R18. I am leaning towards the 255, even though that really is on the very small side for a 10'' rim.

Any thoughts, input and consideration is much appreciated, maybe someone even runs 255 or 265 on those rims?

I have a "T" with 360 modular wheels that fit nicely. 12mm was milled off the mounting face by the PO. Standard size tires fit within the wheel wells. Just a thought!

Just a consideration for you. Those two tyre sizes will create different rolling diameters. The speedometer (and thus mileometer) are obviously dependent upon that measurement to remain accurate.
I would stay as close as possible to the overall height of the original wheel/tyre combination when choosing the width.

yepp, mine got a C-Net Car phone installation in its first years and I don't know if there are any changes involved with being an Italian delivery. Handsome color combination ;-)
