Probably rather mundane actually. He also had a 430 that was simply red on tan as I recall. Then there is a nice little car show in his back yard every year to that might give him some "car" design inspiration...
Camlet , the advice from your fellow Londonian is great. Do it. An ocean of carbon under the hood. Look at this. Isn'it lovely ? Isn'it beautiful ? http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/attachments/ff-gtc4lusso-f12/2233817d1462311022-f12-tdf-img_1322.jpg
The coffee cup holder in CF is a must if there is one in the TDF... I agree. This car is so special..spec everything you like including the engine bay...don't think about the ridiculous charges.
Perhaps look at it this way. Extending the warrantee in a few years will cost you more and no one ever gets to look at that. Its also a CF bargain as my cup holder was easily worth more than $3,500!

Here we go back on the Blu Ahrabian merrygoround. This says it is BA, but nothing like the sample I held in my hand. The question is, what is it? Image Unavailable, Please Login
It could be just a case of lighting (assuming this is blu ahrabian). With flash; Ferrari 575 Maranello Rear Flank Stock Photo, Royalty Free Image: 2507026 - Alamy Without; Ferrari 575 Maranello Front And Side View Stock Photo, Royalty Free Image: 2507034 - Alamy The tdf looks like it is taken on a bright, sunny day.
Even if it is BA, if up close it looks like the sample you posted I would be disappointed. Other greys don't need to look like party hats up close to look good at a distance I would think.
If it wasn't for those purple, pink and green sparkles than it looks like the blu ahrabian on the maranello.
Very puzzling as that 575 is no way the same colour as the LF or my sample. Not even close. Actually I take that back on the second image. Odd
Probably stating the obvious but the grey part only appears under sunlight. Otherwise it is that dark blue. On the paint sample, the part lit up by the sun is grey underneath. It's those sparkles that look weird but maybe that's how the colour looks up close. It's like verde zeltweg. The green part only appears under sunlight. Otherwise it is black.
Nart blue? I was thinking of that as well but the tdf is more grey than blue and similar to laf mentioned previously.
Certainly looks like it and promoted as a 'tailor made' example with the denim seats to. Nice find there! The color changes quite a bit in the video, depending on the light angle... Image Unavailable, Please Login
+1 on the great find. There is another vid with Simone Zanoni which looks also like blu ahrabian and its at night. It is a really beautiful colour. https://california-t.ferrari.com/fr/stateoftheart#simone-zanoni
But nothing like reality. As I said I have seen and touched the paint and it has no grey whatsoever. Confused. In fact, not confused, that is no way BA
What makes you think the Maranello is Blu Ahrabian?? I think it's highly unlikely! Sorry if I missed something.
Sorry but, again, is there any clue other than visual guessing that this could be Blu Ahrabian?? I thought the text would say something but looks like it doesn't. FWIW, to my knowledge Blu Ahrabian is a one-off colour recently created for Mr. Ahrabian's LaFerrari, then *possibly* used later again in *possibly* his tdf. It's possible but still unlikely that more applications of this colour start to surface. As for the Maranello, it's a RHD, looks like UK registered, extremely improbable that it's been recently repainted to Blu Ahrabian. As for the shade of blue with or without grey, etc. I'm considering the sample of BA that Traveller has shown and the indentified BA LaFerrari, and for the most part I think it could be consistent. Very tricky colour with big change from direct sunlight to shade.
