I have available an exquisite 2007 Porsche 911 Turbo (997.1) equipped with a 6-speed manual. First, a history lesson on this incredible car.

It is somewhat commonly known that the 997-generation 911 Turbo will go down in the history books as the last of the 911 Turbos to ever be equipped with a manual-transmission. Some are also aware that it is the last of the 911 Turbos to be equipped with Porsche's renowned hydraulic steering setup, since-replaced in the 991-generation by an electric setup with far less of the "classic" 911 steering feel.

It is perhaps less commonly understood that this specific 997.1 generation of the Turbo was also the last Turbo to use the famous Mezger designed flat-6 engine, an engine that brought Porsche to 47 racing wins and a class-win at the 1996 24 Hours of Le Mans in the turbocharged (!) 911 GT1 prototype race car. This is perhaps one of the most legendary and successful racing engines of all time, as it can still be found sans-turbos in 911 GT3 race cars to this day, 20 years after that storied Le Mans victory.

The 997.1 Turbo debuted in February 2006 at the Geneva Motor Show with the claim of being the first 911 Turbo to officially enter the 3-second range in 0-60 mph time. It was also the first to be equipped with the Sport Chrono package and its 10-second overboost feature, delivering over 500 lb/ft of torque when engaged. In Porsche's 2008 Nurburgring test of the car, it lapped the circuit in 7:38, making it faster than a Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera, Ferrari 458 Italia, and Lexus LFA tested at the same track. This was a very serious car. :)

The car I have available has travelled just 18,700 miles and is with its current owner in Annapolis, Maryland, who bought it CPO from Porsche of Arlington in 2014. The car is clean title, with no liens whatsoever. It is flawless, with no scratches, paintwork, accidents, etc. to speak of. The original owner's manual & extra keys are included.

    Original Porsche Options include:
Axle - Differential Lock Rear (a clutch-pack based limited-slip rear differential, serious performance option!)
    Heated Front Seats
    Ceramic Composite Brakes-PCCB (a near-$9,000 option new)
Fire Extinguisher (Mount is still there but the actual extinguisher needs to be sourced)
Sport Chrono Package Turbo (includes overboost feature)
    Module for Telephone PCM
    Remote CD Changer (6 Disc)
    Carbon Package
    Meteor Grey Metallic
    Black Full Leather
    Black Mats - Porsche lettering
    Adaptive Sport Seats
    Carbon Door Sill Mdl Insignia
Thicker Steering Wheel-Leather (a very rare option)

    Added equipment includes:
OEM 997.2 Turbo wheels (inc. nearly-new Michelin Pilot Super Sports)
    3M Front Clear Bra
    OEM cover
    OEM Porsche cleaning supplies

    Other items to note:
Full Detail & Alignment from Porsche Annapolis
Car needs 4 new TPMS sensors.
    PPI's welcome.

We are asking $85,000 for the car, offers welcome. Please contact me at [email protected] if interested. Thanks for reading!

Possibly. But definitely one absolutely awesome car that is as home on the track as it is at the grocery store. Can't beat this car for this price. If I didn't have one already I'd seriously look at this one.

It should be noted that 2009 and later (997.2) Turbo cars had significant
engine design changes making them no longer considered a true Mezger
engine. At least that's what I read on the Internet!! ;) Edit: I see you mentioned
the 997.1 engine heritage. My mistake.

Also of note: PDK cars allegedly can't be heavily tuned, as the transmission doesn't
allow that much power. I'm happy to be wrong, someone please correct me.

Just one more thing, these cars have been stagnant price-wise for about
2 years, and since I started looking I had two
manual 997.1's slip through before I found my car in Denver. They're rarer than
hen's teeth (in the SF Bay Area at least). My point is they're just about to surge.

Porsche reliability with near supercar performance that gets groceries somewhat
comfortably. What's not to love? :) No affiliation with seller or owner, just a Turbo fan.

Actually the 997.2 turbo and turbo S were 2010 and later. They have the non-Mezger engine. MY2009 is the best of the Mezger engine turbos, especially with 6 speed manual. The 2009 also had the updated PCM/tech from 997.2. The 2007-2008 are definitely awesome, 2009 the best imo.

You are definitely right - they are the next ones to surge. This same engine is in the GT2, GT2 RS in turbo form, not to mention the amazing NA versions in the GT3's, GT3 RS' and the unicorn RS 4.0. The best water cooled Porsche stuff.

Beautiful car and i am sure this wont last! I really believe this is one of the best cars under 100k that you can buy. Its also a really easy car to get even more power from and you cant ignore how reliable they are as well.

LOL, I was thinking, why is this car still here and not sold?! Then I realized the listing is only 4 days old. Hopefully it will be in a new home before this weekend is out.

Bump for a nice car. Another difference between 997.1's and 997.2's... The .2's have a different tail light design that isn't nearly as attractive in my opinion.
