Not trying to insult anyone. If that's the case, my apologies to those I offended. That being said, I don't believe I went personal in my post and it's not meant to be taken personally. It's purely subjective and I just don't get the point of black wheels at all - being it on the street or on the track. If black wheels makes you happy, that's what you should get.

I used to be a 'Silver only' wheels man. Now I like grey wheels or the combination of grey and some silver (diamond cut). So tastes do change I guess. I'm not a black wheels man but i do think the contrast with a lighter body colour can work quite well although i think you tend to lose the pattern of the wheel in most cases unless its a gloss black.

    Each to their own, hey!

That was my point. I respect all people's opinions on color choice for their wheels. Sharing one's dislike of black wheels is fine. In this thread however, it seemed to be a bit overdone. I think we now get it that black holes for wheels are not everyone's cup O tea. ;)

I understand the relation with the historical liveries of the Francorchamp cars... But yellow on red... can't work for me.

My eyes are on this delightful Argento Nurburgring tdf behind...

People , this is MY (I mean the one wich fits my tastes) Tdf... She looks stocky, thickset... licking the road.

Take a few secondes and tell me what do you think about the paint.

    Canna Di Fucile ?

Grigio Granito from the maserati color range ?

Do you feel the wheels are painted in body color ?

    The rest here : http://www.autogespot.nl/ferrari-f12tdf-2/2016/05/12

That car is gorgeous! I was wondering myself if the wheels were matched to the body color. It doesn't look dark enough to be black but they for sure look darker that Peters wheels on his TDF.

Sure you have noticed we're talking about this car again. My opinion, it is most probably CdF and wheels matching.

I knew... I knew... you'll be the first to answer ah ah

I'm absolutely aware that's the same car. I love it and I'm still deeply convinced that's granito.

    Look at this Rodolfo http://ag-spots-2015.o.auroraobjects.eu/2015/10/18/maserati-granturismo-mc-stradale-2013-c898218102015115305_1.jpg

    Aren't they very similar ?

Traveller saw a Granito car on the building chain

I already knew your conclusion, I wanted a maximum of other people to look at the car and tell me what they think.

I forgot : Do think the car is lowered ? if you look at all the pictures in the Autogespot link, in some oics it seems to be on others it doesn't... Can this be the effect of cornering ?

Do we know serial number? We could try Massini or Telaio...

It is a wonderful homage to the car but to me that is just that-an homage and frankly I don't think it does the modern tdf any favours. I have posted before but slavishly replicating a famous historic scheme on a modern car is not necessarily an automatic guarantee of success and here I think it has gone badly wrong. It may be that the owner owns the original winning tdf, and in which case that makes more sense.

I agree about the argento car

That is a point on wich I completely agree with you. Replicating historical liveries on modern cars looks horribly wrong to me. At least I haven't seen an exemple where I found it great.

I liked it until I saw the ocean of red inside and truthfully the yellow stripe on the bonnet, that is too much. Can't disagree about the AN car :), And your LM duo pic is superb.
