A few new pics from Brunei: - a pic from (quoting) the Prince's garage, dating February 2015: Ferrari 458 Italia, Ferrari F12 berlinetta, McLaren MP4/12C, Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 (possibly the same I posted before?) - Ferrari 456 Venice Estate registered BA 154, dating March 2015 - Aston Martin DBS Volante leaving the Istana Nurul Iman Palace, dating October 2015 - Brabus G700 G63 (Sultan's actual daily driver), dating October 2015 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I also found a few photos of a Ferrari 456 Venice Sedan on UK plates (I XX). I know there is a silver 456 Venice Estate in the UK (DK Engineering) and a green 456 Venice Spider in the US (Marconi Museum) but I always thought the Ferrari 456 Venice Sedan was the only Venice-project that never escaped from Brunei. Can we link the car in the pictures to DK Engineering? As far as I see online, they managed to rescue the black 288 GTO from Brunei. I would love to hear from them! In the meantime, enjoy the pics! Have a look at the pics from this blog: A.S.L Winner Express They seem to have transported some cars belonging to Price Jefri.
I really don't know. I always thought the Venice-project was made only for the Royal Family of Brunei (precisely Prince Jefri). Anyone could help?
Read the Sheehan article awhile back. There has to be some sort of way to get a car out of that place and to the US legally. No title but with bill of sale, wouldn't you still be able to bring it over (if over 25 years old) and bring it home? It would be unable to be registered I would imagine, but you could still have the car, albeit an uninsured car LOL.
The Secret Six | The Verge Didn't go through the recent pages to see if this was posted yet. If so, disregard.
I don't know for sure but I think getting it into the U.S is the easy part. I would think out of Brunei is more difficult. Money fixes both ends of the equation though.
I'd LOVE to hear someone from DK Engineering... Are there any Bruneians here on Fchat? The best source to find new pics from Brunei is Instagram but the research is almost never-ending.
Have a look at this Instagram user (@porsche_brunei). There are a few pics from Porsche auctions, most probably cars from the Royal Family. Rows of Boxsters, 928's and 968's + lots of Mercedes Benz's at the back. If you scroll down you will also find an old pic of a Porsche 959 at Jerudong, which is the place where the secret collection is stored. In that particular pic, does anyone recognize the red car behind? Marcos Mantis, Panoz??? https://www.instagram.com/porsche_brunei/
Here are the pics of the Porsche 959 at Jerudong. Sorry for the XS size. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I found out what the red car in the background is. It's a 1990 Lister Jaguar XJS 7.0 Litre Le Mans Coupe. I also found an auction at Silverstone Auctions selling that very car. Quoting: "According to factory chassis records, this Lister Jaguar is one of only 20 Le Mans 7.0 litre Coupes ever made. Chassis number #037LJ04LM was exported from new but repatriated from Brunei by the last owner. It is believed that the car was delivered new to the Brunei Royal Family. Purchased by the current owner in 2004 with only 3,350 miles reading on the odometer, #037LJ04LM has been professionally stored since in a temperature controlled environment. A little over 120 miles have been covered to and from the MoT station over the last 9 years. However, oil changes at regular intervals have ensured that this incredibly rare car is in fine mechanical order. The bodywork is factory precise, the underside spotless and the paint is reflective of a car that has been used sparingly over the years. The engine bay is extremely clean and the inner wings flawless. It is very rare to find an XJS in such pristine original order, let alone a Lister Le Mans. The interior shows some signs of age, specifically the leather would benefit from reconolising treatment. Pre-auction inspection is welcomed and encouraged. In 1990 this car was sold new for nearly £160,000. Today, it is yours for a snip of that original price and surely represents an investment opportunity for any classic car collection. 1980s and 1990s exotica, such as Lister XJS', have shown bullish rises in value recently as their depreciation curves level off and good examples become harder to source." Here you can find a nice story from a guy who, in 2010, bought a pristine-condition 1992 Porsche 928 GTS with ONLY 961 MILES on the odometer. Even the tyres are original from 1992! The belts are also original, all still wearing the Porsche name on them. Quoting: "-According to their mechanic that takes care of the cars, The car is driven around the block almost 2-3 times every week." The car has been purchased during one of the (apparently) numerous "Royal" cars auctions in Jerudong. Finally got a Porsche 928 - Rennlist Discussion Forums
Two more pics I found. These are from a 2012 auction. These were ex Amedeo cars for sale (Prince Jeffry Collection). Note the pouring rain. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I found out these auction take place at "Bandtoo Sdn Bhd Rimba Depot" (GPS coordinates 4°56'54.8"N 114°53'41.8"E). Link to Google Maps: https://goo.gl/maps/NyVUVfsuHU52. This place is a 6.8 mile (11 km) drive from the facility in Jerudong where the main collection is kept. Follow this link to see the map: https://goo.gl/maps/3aC2tQWAzeu I am investigating. This whole thing is intriguing me. I am trying to get a connection with Brunei, especially with someone from the Jerudong area.

Hello! Finally someone from Brunei! Do you have any photos from previous auctions? Can you give us any information about the auctions and/or about the Royal collection? Thanks in advance!
Nice. Thanks! It's good to see cars are still escaping from the Royal collection. Wonder if we are ever going to see fresh pics from the garages. Hope so.
Hello everybody! A new video emerged on YouTube showing the already-spotted white Pagani Huayra rolling out of the Istana Nurul Iman Palace gates in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. The video was uploaded to YouTube on May 1st, 2016. Quoting the uploader "It was about 5-6 months ago. So a little way back.". All I see is that the Huayra is still in its original configuration, without the Track Package (no front lip). Screenshot attached. I don't really remember if this has been posted before but, brunei-er34.blogspot.com on April 9th 2015, posted a video of a McLaren P1 cruising on the Jedudong Highway (screenshot attached). Follow link for details and video: brunei-er34.blogspot.com: Car Spotting In Brunei - McLaren P1! Instagram user @nuraimansyahmi on May 1st, 2015 posted a photo the same (?) McLaren P1 at the traffic lights somewhere in Brunei (undetermined location). Plates covered. Photo attached.
