I have a 1968 Colt SAA. What is the correct box the black one or stagecoach. Wilkerson says at 40814SA started stage box and last in black box in his survey was 37168SA
    Mine is 487xxSA?

Umm not really, Colt firearms forum. We are just as OCD about these old Single Action Army guns. Like what box they came in. And it gets worse.

    I got two SSAs.

    One .357 and the other 44.40 (1 of 50).

    Both 4&3/4"

Not the finest guns ever made, but the finest guns in a hand ever made.

Err... Shouldn't that be 4&5/8" Mark?

Wrong forum? How do y'all think I signed up as "455Fosbery" in a Ferrari forum if it wasn't by mistake!

Nice brace of guns you got there. Of course they all have pretty hard trigger pulls. 😉
Are you on the Colt forum?

Where do you put it in your 308? Under the seat or in the tool roll? ;)

...that or a Bianchi #4 ("Askin's Avenger") wearing a suitable coat to protect the Ferrari leather... P7 PSP is about the best carry piece if you are OK with a 9... I'd imagine that the Mk23 would be a bit bulky Robert!

Here's a near mint "455 Fosbery" with the correct box and all the bits (about $20K at auction in this condition)... A pre-WW1 automatic revolver with speed loader, who knew...

Had seven Fosbery's at one time, extremely accurate and very fast in rapid fire. I set a record at Bisley with a 1901 Model that has not been broken.

    Dang! Wrong forum (again)...

In my opinion it belongs into the tool roll.... Just in case Robert wants to shoot his steering rack :)

    Best
