1 stop race most likely and Ricci can go longer on first stint so I think it's his to win

Hoping ham can follow Ricci down into turn 1 and squeeze rosberg out (preferably into a wall but guess it would be cruel to wish that)

Didn't roll back but fuel pump didn't work either for him.
Hamilton rejoined the track with 8 minutes on the clock. Easily enoug time for 2 runs considering the short lap.

Was 6.30 mins by my count not worth risking only getting one run when prime running is at the end

Except that MB doesn't do well in pressure situations and the tire situation favors RB. Look for Hammy to have his usual inept start and he may well be 5th after the first few corners. Last thing he needs is an incident.

    From ESPN F1:
"The threat from Ferrari failed to emerge again, with Sebastian Vettel nearly a second adrift of Ricciardo's pole position lap."

Ham can no longer trust his car. It's problematic almost every race. I would have blown several gaskets by this point. He needs to go James Hunt on someone and lay some hands.

The RBR chassis is perfect for this track. Ricci will be hard to beat

He had 2, he made a mistake on his first one and completely bailed on it.

From my count he had one. Depends if you count 2 laps on the same pair of tyres but he bailed within the first 10-15 seconds I wasn't even sure if he attempted one

He's too small....I think even Toto Wolff could take him...and I doubt Toto can go toe to toe with wife Suzie. :)

He abandoned his first go before massenet, there was a Red Bull or STR (far) ahead. then he trundled around, started another one but gave up on that one as well, before finally having another go.

IMHO at best hammy would have beaten Nico but Ricci/RB are too good here. Maybe a hailstorm will change things tmw.

St. Devote could be interesting with 2 silver arrows again trying to win the race on lap 1. Ricciardo for the win tomorrow if it is dry, bumper cars if it is wet. 1 smile in the interview outshines the grumpy boys in silver who are finally learning that it is tough not to have 1 second a lap on the field.

No I don't think so. He had 2 or 3 installation laps before his flying lap.

I think he had (charging?)problems with the NGU's , which were already replaced 3 or 4 times prior to Manaco.

    A 5th time means a 10 places grid penalty.

Daniel Ricciardo - Pole down to 'big Australian balls'

It's not the car, not the new PU, not my team, not my mechanics...its just me and my big balls. Hmmmm...

For all you guys who call any utterance of unhappiness from guys like Lewis, Seb, or Nico, " whining" Ric sure gets off easy. Last race he was complaining loudly during and after about the team... He's made lots of excuses prior that the car or the PU is crap. When he does well...its him... When he does bad it's never him. Maybe because he's so likeable and smiles a lot everyone just gets swooned by his pearly whites. I'm glad he got pole... He drove the lap of his life and deserved it, but he's falling further from my favorites list.

I've seen little men chop down trees before. I know he's paid handsomely to pilot that POS around the track, but I couldn't be calm and hopeful like him. I'd have totally lost it by this point.

That's why being an employee doesn't suit me...if I fail, let it be because I screwed up and then I can ***** and moan at myself. But to be handed inferior equipment race after race and keep a brave face is beyond my capabilities.

All of these guys are competitors and none like losing, or even coming in second. I have no problems with any of them...you must think the world of yourself to do what they do and win. Ricci is a shark like the others you mentioned. He's just a smiling shark ;)

Seems I'm wrong on his first couple of laps:
Lewis Hamilton says Monaco pole was 'there for the taking'

Lewis Hamilton believes pole position was possible at the Monaco Grand Prix had his Q3 session not been compromised by a fuel pressure issue.

Hamilton had to be wheeled back to his garage at the start of the top ten shootout after his engine stopped just as he was about to head on track. The problem was quickly resolved to allow him to go back out on track with five minutes remaining, but after making a mistake on his first flying lap he backed off, completed a series of slow laps and then had one last attempt at the end to take pole.

There are some right proper DHs posting crap tonight :p

Some of you guys should go out and go for a swim across the Pacific without support .... you won't be missed ...... what utter rubbish

Dan kicked all their arses and makes a James Hunt comment and is bagged for it ??!!

****ing idiots who bag him for it

I think fchat needs an ACL for individual forums on the site so I can add users to ignore in specific sections where they're idiots (like we Aussies are in the Aussie section) .... and a LOT of the normal users in other sections become dickheads in the F1 section

The Hamilton arsekissers are blanking out half of my posts in the F1 section :p
