    Cloverfield Lane:

Most of the movie was nothing new. Crazy guy, bunker, end of world story. The last 5 mns were just butchered.

    5/10.

I finally saw Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds." All I can say is that 60s audiences must have had low standards for suspense films. Boring, to tell the truth.

Mutual manipulation of jealousy between the couple. Hard and devastating. . .

Wow, that's funny I'm just watching it right now. It's a very good movie in my opinion which didn't succumb under pressure of time. Those special effects may look silly now but back 53 years ago it was a great deal. I find the plot and subject to be interesting yet slow, that's true - but that's Hitchcock. Also some great framing there. Besides, you have such an elegant Tippi, beautiful Aston Martin DB2, and coast scenery - what else do you need :)

^IMO, very few movies translate well across the decades. What was relevant, funny, scary, sexy, etc. to our parents, never mind our grandparents, is often not that relevant to present generations. Great movies that deal with great themes - love, war, hate, family, etc. - translate well. Just my semi-random musings while waiting for dinner to finish cooking. 😀

BTW, I agree, Tippi Hedren was a hottie back in the day!

I'm ok with old movies but prefer period pieces or westerns like The Searchers.

    The 5th wave.

Predicted how the movie would go within 10 minutes. Chloe Moretz looks pretty, that's about it. 3/10

I think so. I am not a Clooney fan but this role fits him perfectly and that is not a compliment

Pretty typical of R rated comedies these days, funny script not required, just toss in some gross stuff and drug humor.....

But the physique that Zac Efron sports is pretty amazing....Ummm from a straight guy POV

Thanks. I'll try and remember. A nice thing about Direct TV. You can search the program guide on the TV. If you find it. You can select it and put it on auto-tune. But the guide only goes a few days out. Sometimes I'll think of a movie or old TV show and find it.

We had directvv, and yeah, it doesn't go very far out in time. I made a note on my iPhone calendar. Fingers crossed, technology does not fail me...T

The story line sounds familiar... during the mid 00's the banking and real estate industry started it's downward trend. That "Mad Money" guy (I refuse to mention his name) said about JOE, "If it drops below $65 then buy 3 times!!!"

So I did, and we all how things went after that.

First and only time I ever listened to anyone about "investing".

I watched the Angry Birds flick last night. Not bad, actually. It stayed true to the source material.
