    Hi Thomas
    Just curious.
I think yours was briefly on Ebay.
Did it sell for that money?

Having searched the german internet, I found two possibilities for what DGM could be: An italian homologation body, and "Deutsche Gesellschaft für Materialforschung (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Materialkunde e.V.: DGM). Maybe an early version of the now standard ABE number, that is necessary for all car parts to be allowed on the street.

Both scenarios are far fetched, but not impossible? E.g. Magnesium usage in the 70ies in Germany for publically traded products I am sure was regulated..

Both old VW's and Alfa Romeos carry DGM numbers on their "Typenschild"..

The listing does show a bid at the $7500 buy-it-now.

Another example of an early RoW 1976 Turbo chassis # with 930/50 engine equipped with a 1975 owner’s manual.

Many italian cars and motorbikes of that time carry DGM... on the type plate. For what I found, it stands for "Direzione Generale per la Motorizzazione Civile", an italian homologation body.

Thanks Thomas… “lifted” another photo from your eBay auction….

Interesting that the English version of the 1975 Turbo manual states that the Goodrich space saver tyre does not comply with existing regulations in Great Britain. A new page is glued on top of another page in the manual…probably a late addition.

Vargas - does your RoW ’76 #0085 have DGM on the trunk plate like RoW 76 #0040? http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/143686017-post3376.html

Thanks - your #0085 has standard 1976 Turbo kg weights but the series block is blank. Somewhere between #0040 and #0085 they dropped the DGM and switched to trunk plates with updated weight blocks. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/143693746-post3390.html

Also at the last edition of Autoclassica this 935 K3 3.0 turbo, specially made for Walter Wolf in the 70'
A very impressive car in the flesh.
740hp,he had this made for the road and it has a title do do so.
I try to imagine how people reacted on this car in the mid 70' when they saw this coming in there rear mirror..

They would have been imagining things because Wally only ordered the car built by Kremer in 1979, and the car was used by him on German and later on British Columbia plates in the 80s.

    Joe,
    From what I remember, wasn't this based on a '78/'79 3.3 930 chassis at Kremer in 1979?

Not sure if it was originally a 3.0 or a 3.3, my only point was, Wally's 935 didn't exist in the mid 70's.

Canadian advertisement featuring a Minerva Blue 1977 Turbo Carrera. U.S. model, equipped with sugar scoop headlights, front side markers and U.S. ride height.

Fitting the ad used a 935 - one of the most successful racecars of all time homologated by the production 930 Turbo.

Probably is a U.S. model, as the photos probably came from North American head office, but it should be noted that the CoA for my car states "Equipment for Canada". I'm not sure about this, but I think that pretty much covers the metric speedometer. Visually, from the exterior, I don't believe there were any differences between Canadian and U.S. cars.
