I concur with Markus except that the carb wrench looks like a fiat one to me. The Ferrari one is a little bit different as the tube middle portion where the little rod goes thru should be somewhat depressed or curved inward on those I have seen so far.

Hi there, I noticed your photos look identical to my car's toolkit - even the blue handled pliers. I am missing my flathead smaller screw driver. I was wondering if I could get you to measure yours? I am also missing the window crank. Do you have that? Is there dimensions for that as well? I have to do an Ebay search. My number is slightly lower than yours, but it's still an 85 QV Euro. Thanks. Franny (53641- Jan/85). I would love the help.

I'll leave the measurements to others. The window crank should be the T type as seen from quite a number of kits reported. You will have a hard time finding an individual one for sale. Last one on eBay was this and that's probably the first one popped up in 2-3 years prior I think. Perhaps those guys selling tools here may have one. Good luck.

Looks like it's a Utema N1200 14/14 combination which is correct combination with the rest of the wrenches. So as you said you are missing the large flat and the correct pliers should be the blue one. Good luck finding them.

Thanks Steven! I found the missing Pliers and the Large Flat Blade Screwdriver!!! Had been hiding under the carpet in the rear quarter panel. BTW, the Pliers have a Blue handle, no markings and the metal is just raw metal color, not Black or Chrome Plated. The Large Flat Blade Screwdriver is longer than the 2 small ones but shorter than the Long Phillips Screwdriver. I will post pictures after the weekend. Thanks for clarifying all the Tools. In the Jack Bag, I have a Black finished Jack, a short extension for the Ratchet, the Ratchet, a L shaped wheel nut tool and a Green topped, round container for the fuses, the bulbs and a spark plug. I will swap out the ceramic fuses for the glass type because I have changed my Fuse Blocks from the original Ferrari Fuse Blocks to the "Birdman" type. This is not meant to be a plug for Birdman, but I must say that they have made a big difference along with the Window Accelerators! Boy! The windows go up and down very quickly and they are smooth.

Boy, don't you love that? Now your tool kit is complete! The jack kit seems to be complete and correct as well judging from your description except that you need 2 Champion N6GY spark plugs. Don't forget the belts, and you also need the emergency triangle if it's a euro 308.

I have Champion Plugs in the little cardboard boxes with cellophane but unfortunately they are not N6GY's which are very hard to find. I do have 2 spare belts and it's a US model so I guess I won't need the emergency triangle. Thanks for your help!

I also have a 85qv euro #53415. Built in Sept 84. I believe I have the tool kit, emergency triangle, full jack kit and the emergency light but missing the t handle for the windows. I will take pictures of them tonight.

I have noticed that the kits with the blue pliers are missing one thing or another. Wonder if ferrari had a shortage of tools them years and was putting in what ever tools they had at that time?

Yeah the small flat screwdriver and the T type window crank are missing. The Allen wrench is not shown in the manuals but different types of them were noted from different kits. Could be anything, so I've never put them in the list cuz of the uncertainty. Not sure which type of wrench you have, all those reported kits with blue handle pliers seem to be having the Ferrari wrench with sizes in a circle depression plus a Utema N 1200 14/14mm combination wrench. See post #438 for a brief visual image of them.

You have a great looking jack kit, though I'm not sure about the emergency triangle. Usually it's the Costaplastik one with white backing for 308s.

Wow, this has been very helpful. I agree with ItalianJoe. It almost seems like the Euro QV versions only had three screwdrivers and no window crank. I know of another car manufacturer who would take what was on the shelf as well. Good call. :)

It could be and we never know :)

I believe the window crank was not originally placed inside the tool roll but in the door pocket. The small flat screwdriver might be the most useful for other purposes and could have been left outside the tool roll. This might explain why the screwdrivers and window crank are the usual ones missing.

    Just my theory though :D

There is an '84 Euro QV listed on eBay that has some photos of the tool kit:

Note the blue handles on the pliers. Seems to be the norm for the '84 year models (what mine has).

I have a very late build 85 Euro QV with 4 screwdrivers and the "T" style window crank.

If you are crazy about tool kits and jack kits like me and want to have the original Champion N6GY spark plugs in your jack kit, I've got a few extra here. PM me if interested. Only 4 available to supply 2 jack kits for QVs.

Looks like you have the blue handled pliers (which I believe is totally correct for that specific year model) plus two other things that are definitely 'Euro':

    - The warning triangle (which you must have in your car by law in Germany)
    - Replacement main headlight bulb for a non-sealed beam unit

Given the condition of this tool set, I would coat them in RIG and put them in a vault and assemble what bits you need from readily available/replaceable sources, stick them in a bag, and put them in the boot!

    Best,

    John.

    Hi All,

This may have been covered, and, if so I apologize...

Just where does this tool kit and jack go in the car? I saw a photo somewhere with a couple straps on the rear wall, but I don't see anything like this on my car ('85 Euro - German car). The spare bulbs go in the Jack bag, but how about the trouble light? Where does that go? How about the emergency triangle? If you were to pick this car up new in the Munich dealership in 1985, where would all this stuff be?

    Photos would be great!

    Thanks!

    Franny

In the early 308s, both rolls were depicted in the Owners Manual lying in the spare tire under the front bonnet.

Or maybe just the smaller tool roll.

My 1977s have the rubber straps in the LH rear trunk, that make a handy place for the jack roll (or maybe a Fire extinguisher!!)

Hazard triangle (Euro only) goes in the Jack Kit.

Trouble light could go into the console storage (on a GTB!!!)

You need an Allen wrench to change gear or engine oil......the drain plugs are a recessed hex.

Not a Factory Tool item, though.
