F12 TdF officially ordered

...and the dealer sold an FF!!! First I ever heard of that!! I have a TdF but I don't have an FF anymore...

 

I still can't believe that YOU, the tifosi numero uno on this board, left the FF for a range rover...

And you didn't have shields on it... another mystery. (I'm not a spy, just a good memory ahah)

How about the Ferrari telemetry, track cameras, and Daytona carbon fiber racing seat?

 

Regarding the Grigio Titanio triple layer paint, I have tried to upload an image of the paint code.. the option reads, "Grigio Titanio Fer. 3238 Triplo Strato
I trust that it's a triple layer color otherwise I sure paid a lot for standard paint...

If you look closely, the Triplo Strato looks like a separate transparent sticker. They do these things, you know. Maybe it's such a new colour they don't have its proper sticker yet.

 

Garretto has a very sharp eye... I looked closely at the paint code sticker and put my finger on it and there is a small, square sticker that includes the words Triplo Strato applied on the large sticker... Regarding how I chose the paint color... I had been reading numerous posts about the quality of the paint finishes and how numerous owners had to have a paint correction process..
I also read that the Triplo Strato colors seemed to be better because of an different paint facility and the color would be more intense,ect... so I asked my dealer for triple paint in grigio titanio
metallic and they said it would be done... my invoice was rather large for an F12 and the paint cost is not shown as a line item.. I was told upfront that the charge would be in the $30k zone... upon arrival, the GM of the dealership said the paint was spectacular in the sunshine and they had never seen Grigio Titanio look this way on any previously Ferrari... the metallic flake just glitters in the sun, then looks completely different inside or on a cloudy day... it's like having two different finishes.. the next visit to the dealership, I will get the Grigio Titanio paint sample and compare the two and try to take a decent pic showing the difference...

 

What I find amazing is that when I went to Tailor Made, my first question was do you do any triple layer greys like GT. No was the answer, it is very difficult to do grey in a 3 layer.

I am woefully under impressed so far with TM given my other issue.

Here are two photo's of the Triplo Strato GT taken within 30sec of each other on a partly cloudy day... I tried to take a close up photo of the metallic flake but my camera shadow gets in the way... tiny blue, red and yellow flakes are there...

No, it is Corsa. But there is a Trofeo R if you want to track it.
