    Thanks for the preview!
A rather lame cover image considering the many beautiful Italia models that have been built. There are many colors to choose from when hunting for an Italia but I suppose for some only the Rosso Corsa will do. Couldn't they have at least used a photograph of a real Italia?

Cool, but a little too 'circus wagon' for my personal tastes, whatever floats your boat.

The 'A' was Ferrari corporate; however this is 'CIRCUS WAGON' overload before black wheels became popular>

sometimes...back in 2010 I said here Ferrari should build a new V-8 with twin turbos and call it the 488 GTO. Instead we got the 488 berlinetta.

Got mine yesterday. "Best Value Ferrari"

    Some points:
You will be lucky to find a non-story Spider in good condition for less than MSRP. Spider more engaging to drive than ltalia.

Speciale more so and S Alpertas ~$700k.

Get the extended warranty and when that runs out get the extended power train warranty.

Problems seem to be instrument electronic failures. About $5k to remove and replace instruments. Speedo failures. New transaxle.

Unfortunately, that was a production 1998 Corvette. That hideous Indy option cost almost $6000 and nearly 1200 were produced to satisfy people of strange tastes. In today's market, those cars might be considered collectibles. And before anybody dumps on Corvette owners, consider the Alonzo/Gonzalez 60F1 599 GTB.

I was lucky (unlucky?) enough to have my electronic dash go kaput. Ferrari wanted it back to try and fix. No go. So I got a whole new cluster . Had it not been under warranty it was a 16K repair. Not 12K as stated in the article. More sadly, not the 5K you quote. The good news is that apparently per that article, an independent can fix for 2K.
For what it is also worth, my battery had NOTHING to do with it.

Shame on me, you are absolutely correct. I totally forgot they actually offered that abomination as an option.
I'll have to do the walk of shame.....:)

Mine came delivered with a glitch in the instrument cluster. Had to wait several weeks for a replacement part, and the swap.
It was fixed, and I was happy.

    First, I love your spider!
Second, so sorry you had a new car laid up.
Lastly, it took Ferrari 5 weeks to get the dash to NJ then onto Italy and then get a cluster back to me.
I raised absolute hell with the dealer for the time involved.

They said two weeks for a new alternator from ltaly. On my third week. They say it may be Monday.

Why wouldn't they always have an alternator or two in the US? Makes no sense to me.

Reminds me of the time we went on a Ferrari NA Rally from Reno to Pebble Beach for the concours. We had to tell them the size tire, model and brand for our cars. Supposedly they would have some spares in case someone needed a new tire. During the technical inspection l told the head ltalian that l needed a screw that had fallen out of a panel in the F355 behind the passenger seat. He told me to come back in 90 minutes. I came back there was nobody there. They had a huge Red Semi ans trailer wirh very large FERRARI letters and logo on the sides. I went in there and the trailer was absolutely empty. No tires, no tools. Nada. I stopped at a hardware store and bought a scew for 6 cents. :D

Now that is what I call the "Ferrari experience."
People think it is the 9000 RPM red line that makes the ownership fantastic.
They don't realize the "pleasure" one gets from proving Job has nothing on a Ferrari owner! LOL
    Sorry and best!

    Thanks!
You're really at the mercy of the 'system' in cases like these. I wanted the car for when we were getting married back in '13. Missed the window of opportunity by several weeks. :(

Sadly, I sold the car several months ago, and I really miss it.

But there's always something else on the horizon ;)
