He's got the speed but refused to actually fight Hamilton. He think he can win it by being mr Nice guy. Hasn't worked very well for any world champion...guess what? That ain't changing.

    That's not even under debate.

But what is, is that Ferrari gave a away a possible victory. Vettel had a multiple seconds lead over Hamilton (6 to 7 seconds at least at the pit stop ?, I'm guessing a bit here), but gave it away with a lesser tire strategy.

Mercedes yet again exploiting it, and leapfrogging Ferrari without even needing to fight for it. Oposed to rosberg, who did had to fight for 4th place.

A bit OTT, they both had an equally dreadfull start, but Hamilton had the inside and better line, aka the upper hand.

I think he will from now on. Next race if they start from the front row it will be interesting to put it mildly.

Not talking about just today. He always rolls over and after the race says he's ''annoyed''. What a pillock.

Not sure if that's actually true,

    - Ricci had some amazing qualifying laps, both at Monaco and Canada. At Canada maybe a bit lucky due to hiting the wall of champions a bit too hard....
    - Ricci has more experience, both in the RB, as well as in F1 altogether.

One race doesn't say much, a season says more.

This. The man just doesn't have it. If Vettel were his teammate at Merc it'd be the same story. Alonso too. Rosberg just doesn't have it.

Yeah he needs to nut up and drive. He needs the champion attitude. This is my line, i'm going in, if you want it come and get it and we'll see what happens. he doesn't do that. He just cowers and saves the car and any damage.

I said it last year too. He was in the lead by 24 points. A DNF for both does nothing but gut Hamiltons chances and gives him one less race to catch up. It also sends the message, don't try it again. if i'm going to be second, i'd rather it be to someone else, not my teammate that embarrasses me at every opportunity.

Someone needs to have a sit down with Rosberg and tell him how to take the low road once in a while.

That aside. Ferrari messed up. They had the pace, they should've matched strategies with Merc and went all out.

Mercedes need a "German" driver. So they got a guy of Finnish heritage who lives in Monaco, who happened to be born in Germany.

no no no..hang on.....that's not the case.....it appears to be that the hammo fanbois say it's ok when lewis does it, but not when nico does.

Personally I don't think it's right when it's done by either, but lewis certainly has done it many more times out of the two of them.

If Nico had done it to lewis the fanbois would be going NUTS over it.

Nico really needs to stop being Ham's doormat. His confidence was growing from last season, and this season he looked unstoppable. He was definitely getting more aggressive with Ham, but after Spain, he seems gun shy. This race, he seemed to get some aggression towards the end, but Max kept slamming the door on him...only to spin on the last lap. At Monaco, he let Hulk pass him on the last lap.

I'd love to see Nico get his mojo back as Ham and Seb seemed to get theirs back. Then it would be one hell of a season!

After today, you can sense that the momentum has now firmly shifted in Hamster's favour. Rosberg looked and acted defeated. I think he will not start making silly mistakes and Hamilton will continue to take advantage of them. It's a shame, as I hoped that he would finally get the better of the pairing, but I think Hamiltons killer instinct is more finely honed than Rosbergs. I don't think Rosberg will be with Merc next year....

Totally agree. Hamilton will get #4 and become the most successfull F1 driver in Britain's history. Take that Mr. Stewart. :)

The script for the 2016 season is better than the previous years...

All kidding aside, l (and no I am not a Hami fan) do firmly believe Lewis is the better driver than Nico and thus I dont have a problem with it. I like Nico and would be happy for him to get a WDC but the championship is about being the best not the nicest. I dont think Lewis is THE best but I do believe he is better than Rosberg. THE currently best sits in a Ferrari or in a McLaren or a RB. Go figure.

    seem that way.....again.

big call! Staying at Mercedes at least he gets some wins and a second in the WDC. Where else can he get that? I know, lots of changes next year, but it's quite the gamble.

    Thanks for the post.

Reversed situation in 2014 ,to me the difference is that Lewis used his head and backed off staying on the track and just lost 1 position, where as Nicole yesterday kept his foot in and ran off the track dropping back a lot further, basically ruining his own race.

I do not criticize either driver for defending their position on the racing line going into the first left hander.

Lewis is a better racer,no doubt about that. As for Nicole trying to pass Max then spinning under braking lololololol.

Great to see Ferrari moving forward ,so on to Baku where anything can happen.

But that spinning looked a little bit strange to me...Why does the back goes away when braking into the chicane instead of simple pushing over the fronts? It looked very much like a wrong braking balance to me rather than the mistake of the driver as he did not go over the curbs taking the balance out of the car, at least this did not look like the behavior of the car one would expect...

Edit: it is funny people complaining about Lewis being called "Elton" or something "by the haters" but use "Rosy" or "Nicole" at the same time. Again a nice example of your double standards but certainly never your fault ;) But enjoy as long as Hamilton wins, it will not last forever...And then we will enjoy...the silence!

Well by definition the best cannot be sitting in a Ferrari because someone sitting in a red bull has already smashed him ;)

Lol my thoughts exactly. Nicos inferior race craft shows through once again

Yeah... The new Webber who is faster than Sebastian. Bad luck for Ricci really. Lost a place when rosberg came back onto the track to his team mate. Was then all over max and lost out due to getting the second stop and then being stuck being Kimi...and we all know how slow he is but the Ferrari is far too quick in a straight Line
