What Bas said. NBC's coverage is laughable compared to Sky's, and once you watch the Sky coverage and begin to realize how long NBC's commercial breaks are, it makes watching NBC even harder to tolerate.

Try this to see how much we're missing on NBC: put the race on NBC but listen to it on Sky. That way you get an idea of everything you're missing while NBC is on commercial breaks or just screwing around showing shots of downtown or some other local scenery even after they return to air. So ****ing infuriating.

I only watch NBC's coverage now when I absolutely have no way to watch Sky. Oh, and Sky does (iirc) 1.5 hours prerace coverage and an hour after.

Do you use a VPN and subscribe to an online package from Sky? If not, then what (if you don't mind me asking)?

I'm fortunate in that my boys (in the UK) are Sky subscribers - As such, they're 'allowed' an iPad (or whatever) viewing experience. I VPN myself there, and then use one of their Sky accounts.

    Bless 'em! ;)

    I'm still intrigued by this potential solution;

Watch Live Sports online ? Stream football, tennis, rugby

    Cheers,
    Ian

But this only lets a subscriber watch an event LIVE? Is there any way/website where one can watch the Canadian GP on a delayed basis?

Any such uploads will get promptly removed because it's a copyright violation. YouTube isn't really a reliable go to for missed races.

Channel 4's On Demand services are ok for highlights. I think you'd need a UK IP address for that though.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I mean what was the point? Golf? To appease the 3 people in the country who are into Roman Greco wrestling?

They need to at least make it clear... crystal clear... during practice and qualy and during whatever they preempted with where to go.

+1 Agreed NBC-Sports can also kiss my ass as well... I missed 100% if the race. This wouldn't have happened if F1 stayed on the Speed Channel... No news coverage's!!!!

Besides the VPN... What website are you watching the F1 races on and what's the subscription cost?

NBC(rap) F1 coverage consist of some badly dressed fat guys sitting at a table in a studio making erroneous comments that need constant correction from the boring guy that at least somewhat knows what he is saying. After this snoozing session there follows more of the same except you keep cutting to hockey, soccer golf, etc. after this we get shots of landmarks in a place several hours from the track for no apparent reason. This land mark shot will get replayed the moment there is any chance of an overtake on the track. This is followed by some cars moving, alternating with products being shown that you shouldn't buy. The fat guys obsess with finding the uninteresting things to focus on and repeat regardless of what might be happening at the moment. Then the cars stop moving, and you go to more boring out of shape guys in the studio. How can F1 not succeed with this epic coverage.

I'm watching it right now on NBCSports.com. Click "Video Clips, Highlights", then click "Full Event Replays", and so on. You may have to log in with your provider info, etc to see the whole race. You have to be an NBCSports.com subscriber.

I'm fortunate in that I can 'share' my boys UK Sky subscription. I VPN myself to the UK, & login to Sky using their account. Works a treat!

Should also note the inverse applies. They use my Comcast account to watch US sport.

watched the last two laps. Ridiculous. Terrible programming.

Look at the bright side....we didn't have to hear scraming aussie fatboy Leigh Diffey creating false drama and the start and finish.....or adding an "R" to every word that doesn't have one (e.g., Felipe Masser, Mazder, etc.)

    Thank you...

Leigh Diffey has got to go. His constant paraphrasing driver's quotes to make it seem
he sat down and spoke with them personally and his over pronunciations have become
so tiring that I know guys who'd rather watch F-1 on Univision.

Do we think that Bernie admitting that he's going to be learning more about social
media and live streaming with Heinekin's involvement may lead F-1 to live streaming
its own broadcasts a-la the way Le Mans is doing?

I'd be willing to pay for good F-1 coverage and boot guys like Diffey out of a job.

Yes, the inevitable crescendos at "lights out" and checkered flag are soooooo irritating that I mute the TV.
