I would agree with a Capi level 2. I have a Tubi on my F355 Berlinetta now (from the original owner) and I heard an F355 with a Capi level 2. I will be adding one soon, with Hyperflows, and Tubi exhaust manifolds. . I'll just give my Tubi system away (you pay the shipping ). These f***in' cars are more expensive than drugs.
IMO there's nothing like the Kreissieg. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sg-5k_O6qlg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dm8nCdHTCBA
Even though it is not one of the choices in the OP's subject line, I'd have to throw out the totally custom GothSpeed Twin-Valve exhaust. You get both the sound you want (can be tailored to the loudness you want, in primary and secondary, but all retaining the legendary old-school F1 sound. Turn up the volume! Project 5.2: Twin Valve on Vimeo To my ears, it is the best sounding exhaust I've ever heard on the car. And I'm coming from a Tubi, and later on the MS Racing exhaust. And getting a >28 hp gain over the MS Racing didn't hurt either! http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/348-355-sponsored-bradan/447109-project-5-2-depths-laboratory-abyss-ascend-twin-goth-valves.html Cheers
Yep. My wife (!) gave me the Cap 3 for Christmas. Red Robin already had hyperflows on her. The sound is addictive! We should meet up anyway for a cruise and blessing some mountain roads with the sound of 2 F355's on Cap 3's definitely counts as a good deed. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi gents, I just bought an used F355 aftermarket exhaust system from ebay, pictures attached. I need to contact the manufacturer to source the upper mounting bar, it was missing and the seller does not have it. Could some one help recognizing it? Agree Carlo I can certainly get one made! But I still wopuld like to know the manufacturer of this kit. It doesnt look like a Tubi, which has dobbled tipped ends. Any clues on possible companies that makes such kit?
Design looks very similar to this Remus exhaust Remus Ferrari F355 3 5L Race Look Sport Exhaust Rear Silencer Muffler | eBay - but it looks like it's missing the Remus "imprint". Maybe a copy?
Just my .02 on exhausts, I have the Capristo stage 3, the nice thing about it is when the bypass is closed (highway cruising, idling etc), it is very quiet even with no cats. Hit the throttle and all hell breaks loose. Its the best of both worlds IMO.
Looks like it may be an old Quicksilver. Either way I believe it would use the same exhaust bracket as a challenge system. Ferrari part number 166893. I think superformance has a reproduction as well.
I have a Capristo 2 and its pretty epic. I think others on this board who have heard it can attest to its magic.
Thank you for all the compliments about our products. We have most Ferrari parts in stock ready to ship. Contact Erik with any questions or concerns. Thanks again.
It always seems to slip through the cracks in these threads. Mille Miglia. http://youtu.be/LLhB8VM2Sio I wore this video out while searching for my car. The sound is intoxicating. And now I have one on my '97. http://youtu.be/bHUlVvm-ooM
Thank you very much Barry. It's currently breathing through stock headers/cats/y-pipe. I'm working on a set of test pipes and cat less mandrel bent y-pipe right now. Anxious to see if it improves on the F1 shriek.
Here is a video of the dyno pulls. The first F355 is a '95 with Tubi headers, stock cats and a Tubi muffler. The second F355 is mine, a '97 with OEM headers and cats and a Mille Miglia muffler. The white C6 was my wife's car. Lou Gilotti long-tube headers, high flow cats, Corsa cat-back. http://youtu.be/zumdxauXuZM
Darren, I did not dyno the car with the stock exhaust. Honestly if it cost me 5-10hp (which I seriously doubt) I'd still run it because it sounds so amazing.
