I did not know that a 365 GT 2+2 is "now worth millions of Dollars"...........perhaps because he calls it a 365 GTC4 or 365 GT4.........learning every day.........

The 8-cylinder will be presented in late fall 2016 and will have two-wheel drive.

Interesting Hopefully it will make for a much lighter car as well
2WD is perfect for us in Florida.I'm sure they won't call the V-8
version Lusso. If priced right it should make a great DD - IMO :)

....and a huge space under the bonnet (hood) around the tiny 3.9 litre block with lots of plastic to hide it.

Production of the new GTC4 Lusso (12 cyl) is delayed, demo cars will not reach dealers before September.

Any idea why Marcel? Pure speculation but nothing to do with the 4WS?

Misunderstanding I'm afraid, I wasn't referring to Geneva, I was referring to the private launch in Modena which was by invitation only.

i have also earned about The 8 cylinder, for sure they will sell lots of these cars almost because ( same shape /20% cheaper ? ) . One think is also almost sure The 12 cylinder i think could be something intersting in The future as such a collector car

The availability of a V8 stripper will make the depreciation of the V12 model truly catastrophic.

IMO Both will tank similarly but less than the ugly FF :)

Big question is how much hp will the V8 have

Is this is a gradual transition to only v8s for the successor of the gtc4? I imagine if the v8 sales numbers are a lot better than there probably isn't much point having the v12 and the v8.

This would be a shame as the 2+2 is the only "unbroken" lineage since the start. Plus the reason this car is epic is because of the v12. If it has the v8 (turbo from the Cali t?) than I could imagine a whole legion of customers trying other things like Aston Martins etc.

The only thing I could imagine to save the v8 perception (at least from a marketing/self image perspective) would be to load it up with f1 tech like electric batteries etc.

Really? Seems like many of us have been speaking about the TTV8/RWD version for a long time, though perhaps now that there is some "unofficial official confirmation" it's more real

Realistically, for Ferrari to sell enough of the platform (FF/GTC4), they need to be able to access certain markets where they need to have sub 4l (i.e. 3.9l) and more "efficient" engines, to comply with regulatory requirements and also to come in under certain taxation levels.

This would (theoretically) open up more demand at a lower price point for those markets - i.e. be able to sell more cars.

I do not know if the new TTV8 platform can mount the FF/GTC PTU, which on the V12 version is literally attached to the front of the block/crankshaft.

I do recall previously discussing the V8 - what about isolating it to just the markets that require 4L or less?????

my original comment was that those of us who would only by the V12 will get the short-end of the stick when considering that someone in the V8 version could be parked/driving right next to you in a car substantially cheaper - this what I've always loved about F-cars, they don't suffer from the differences say between an MB S350 that can be ordered to look identical to an S63; drives me mad that someone spends multiples of another person and can drive an identical looking car (to the average person) - same goes for he Bentley Conti V8's that basically run the same engine as the Audi S8 and yet you can buy a GT Speed with the W12......

Zero to do with being a snob, more of maintaining a standard (high one that is) - chances and probability that a person who does buy the V8 version can afford the V12 anyway

You're making many assumptions especially about affordability and Yes you are
being very snobbish especially since you've come back to reiterate yourself

More like clarifying as opposed to reiterating!

No snob in me whatsoever - nor is it my intent to come across in such manner....just being matter of fact.....example : can most people who buy an MB S350 with AMG kit afford an S63/S65??? most probably not....can 95% or more of the people who buy a GTC4 Lusso V8 afford the GTC4 Lusso V12....most probably
