Scam probably defiantly. Warning that about 2 out of 10 930 ads are out and out scams right now.

Viper Green, Emerald or whatever: imo the best color on a 3.0 Turbo, but I'm biased. Now for sale, no affiliation. Looks like a very nice car for a decent price. Or is this the car that was auctioned last year for 200.000+ and has some issues?

Looks great, especially with Turbo script and tartan interior. Replacement later-style odometer.

The first picture in the ad (the pic you posted) is of the car at Gooding. The other pics are of a different car...

+ 1 - the Gooding car had a different color interior/tartan-dress and also had a correct RoW Turbo badge on the tail.

Here is the Gooding Auctions full set of pictures of Vin 9306700617:

    https://www.classicdriver.com/en/car/porsche/930/1976/320513

A bit odd that if the green car for sale on Craigslist was real, that they would use the first picture in their post from the Gooding auction which is a different car. Seems like a scam?

LEFT picture is the car at Gooding. RIGHT pic is the opening pic in the Craigslist (stolen from Gooding) And yet the cars are different cars. Scam...

I've had considerable interest and great correspondence from Ferrari Chat members on my 1976 930. I appreciate the interest and hospitality in general I've received since joining up here recently! I've just this evening dropped the price significantly to $119K. ($29,000 less than original asking price of $148,000)

Just posting here as a heads up to those who had replied or inquired early on. Pertinent links below:

Link to the For Sale posting here on Ferrari Chat:

Link to the original For Sale thread on Pelican, with lengthy description and twenty photos:

Thanks very much ... glad to answer and and all inquiries from serious prospects.

I was finally able to find a copy of the Amour Productions 930 Turbo VHS. The video has excellent details of 1976, 1977, 1978, and 1979 930 Turbos. The 1976 has California plates HELE MAI and the 1977 plates 499 SOK.

The narrator visits ANDIAL and interviews Dieter Inzenhofer. Dieter provides sage advice for what to look for when buying a used 930 Turbo: first, make sure the car has not been in a major accident; second, verify mechanical condition and look for originality...cars without aftermarket turbos, exhaust, etc.

There’s an explanation of the red dots on the Bosch coils in the 1975 and 1976 service manuals:

The ignition transformer is new and must not be interchanged with the previous series transformers. It can be recognized by a red color dot on the side of the housing.
