More rain expected shortly.
Hard to imagine that the guy Cooper referred to as their "reserve driver" wasn't squared away to drive surely? Shouldn't have been left in doubt like that.
agree, there's something fishy here. maybe pressure from other teams? but then Cooper and Gunnar are both silver rated drivers, so theoretically that shouldn't matter
Very strange. RLM just referred to Gunnar as an "authorized reserve driver" and had no explanation for why he wasn't permitted to drive - as the Weathertech car goes off.
I'm watching on lemans.org - can someone explain to me the race status "OUT"? RUN and PIT are obvious but there are cars with status of "OUT" then come back to RUN. What designation do they use for when the car actually retires?
yellow "out" is for cars leaving the pits; I believe they use a black "out" for cars out of the race.
Thanks, makes sense now. I'm somewhat surprised that they want to distinguish between an 'out' lap and fully up to speed in an endurance race.
After fox drops out their coverage is there an online way to watch. Seems like a pretty good Ford = Ferrari race going on.
Correction: He had a rear wheel locked up which sent him nose first into the wall at Arnage...I thought for sure it was a retirement but #67 is back out on track.
