    Hi,

I'm looking to swap my 360 Modena ECU with a Challenge Stradale unit. Does anyone know if it would be a problem to install a US model Stradale ECU into a EU model 360 Modena?

    Thanks.

What is the benefit of the CS ECU? I know the TCU is a huge difference over the earlier 360's but I haven't heard about swapping the ECU's before.

You can't straight swap it as the CS uses the larger MAF sensors. There may be other issues as well.

I'm putting on the stradale exhaust. I need to ECU to control the opening of the valves. I believe its been done by quite a lot of people who have installed the stradale exhaust.

As far as I recall, the 360 race exhaust kits that were "blown out" a few years back at great prices came with new ECUs. I am not sure if those were (identical to) CS ECUs or not. If you search this section you may be able to find the dealer that were offering them, and see if they know about the ECUs - might have been Boardwalk Ferrari, or maybe Ferrari of Atlanta. Found the thread, Ferrari of Atlanta: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/360-430-sponsored-yellow-compass-group/436802-special-price-360-factory-racing-challenge-stradale-exhausts.html

I've got the CS exhaust on my car and I am using my original ECU's. Only difference that I know of is the CS ECU's delay the opening of the valves. Rather than have them open at around 5k under a load. When I bought my CS exhaust, the ECU's were not included.

Personally, I would rather have them open sooner rather than later and that was the other reason I bought the controller to allow me to open them whenever I want....such as tunnels, streets with concrete barriers, and parking garages!

Same with me. My exhaust came with the new ECUs and they only delayed opening the valves. I put the old ones back in.

@prince_Ramses - Like others stated the "racing exhaust" came with a modified valve delay for the exhaust. I personally found no benefit in it. It's not an actual CS ECU. Very different things.

If you have the CS ECU's you can swap them. You will need the original remotes though. Your better off with a refresh. Just about every component of that car is plug and play on the 360. When I have the patience and time to pull my ECU's out and send them to Mase engineering for a CS Flash. It's almost an additional 25 Hp over the standard tune. That is also with running the factory race exhaust. I need the tune to run the CS MAF's I've had sitting in my toolbox for the last year and a half.

Every other component I have from the CS, CS TCU, CS SCU, CS Shocks and sway bars were simple as pie. You do need to have access to a Leonardo to adjust some parameters.

I'm not sure why you correct me then make the same statement. :-( What I said was that he can't straight swap without using the MAFs, using the MAFs requires different airbox. It's unclear if anyone has done dyno comparisons using CS ECU. I only know of CM2 using those airboxes/MAFs. I believe he also has a MASE tune. I'm well aware of other similarities, I have the full suspension, sway, suspension ECU as well.

Not sure what would happen with the cs ecu and stock mafs.... Might work, but with the reverse the startup mixture was pretty wonky.

CS ecu + stock MAF = did function but was seemed to run richer on my Wideband O2, just tested a start and run around the block.

That makes sense as the same sensor output will lead to a richer point on the map. The opposite (CS MAF, Stock ECU) triggers lean errors. This was my experience. Both situations aren't good for the motor.

    Hello,

I didn't wanted to start a new thread, instead I am gonna ask here, if anyone could help me find CS Europe F1 ECU File?!

    Thanks in advance

360trev can (and regularly does) reflash 360’s with CS firmware, but you do indeed need to correct the calibration for the differently sized MAF’s.
