Because she's at the shop getting her major done. You didn't really think I'd get rid of her, did you? Timing belt, valve seals, and a couple of other small things. Please say a prayer for my checking account.
Any history on your drive sprocket bearings or chain tensioners? Currently in the midst of my own, diving deep with the 'while I'm in theres'.
I just picked mine up after its full 30k. It was saddening to see that empty spot in the garage while it was away. While "in there"; replaced the 26 y.o. water pump (for good measure), replaced a howling left rear wheel bearing and had an A/C system go-over including a new compressor, expansion valve and receiver/dryer (was all original). Just under $10k for all of it. The really sad part is that I wanted to do the 30k myself but life and work got in the way.
Lol, you certainly got my attention with the thread title David. Can you post up any pics? I am going away for a few weeks with the family, but will try and check back in to take a look while I am away.
I can ask them to take photos at various stages, but I'm not there to take them myself. Come to think.of it, I would like to see pics, too.
A local shop called Eurotech. There isn't a Ferrari dealership within 3 hours of Knoxville, unfortunately.
The PPI was done by Foreign Cars Italia in NC and they gave her a great grade. First thing the guy said to me was "this is a great car." Of course, they didn't pull the engine out or anything, so there's no telling what might be lurking under there.
It doesn't have to be a Ferrari dealership for the work, there are several excellent independent shops
Please ask them David, we love seeing pics here on the forum and these pics will also be great documentation of the work performed on your car for yourself.
