Good morning! I need to change my driver's side rear turn signal bulb. I've opened the panel and it seems the housing is somewhat difficult to get at. I'm guessing.. remove the plug in lead, unscrew the two knurled bolts.. and then??

I was kinda looking for a process... see if I was missing something. Getting access to the area is a bit.. awkward.

Did this couple of months ago - have to remove the entire light pod to get the bulb/plate out. 2x10mm nuts (top and bottom) directly on top and bottom of the thumb screw that remove the plate.

Had to do this exact same thing a month ago. You are in the right direction. And yes, it is very tight in there, you just have to wiggle and maneuver. First, unscrew the top and bottom "chrome looking" nuts there in the picture. Then, wiggle like I sad and the compartment will come off. twist bulbs out and then twist new ones back in. You're done! Let me know if you have any more questions about this.

Just be careful when unscrewing the knurled knobs so that they don't fall into never-never land below.

Thanks guys! I'll work on it today. Good to hear from people who done the same thing. Not a lot of space to wiggle stuff loose!

My bulbs won't budge, I am worried it's going to break and cut my fingers. Do they just unscrew? Quarter turn or threaded?

Look at the replacement bulb to tell. Put duct tape all over the glass part of the bulb and try it again. 2-3 layers of tape. The tape will keep it from breaking the glass. Even if you do break the glass or base, the base that is stuck in the plug is simple to remove with needle nose pliers.

Did you push in the bulb slightly before turning?

i recommend that you place a towel or rag below the light pod to catch things that you drop

    LOL
Funny how what you / i know doesn't hold true for all depending on their experiences.
I doubt that I would have told a person to push and turn if i were writing instructions.

Just loosen the 3 nuts that hold the tail light in (careful, dont let them fall)...
Remove the whole tail light assembly.
    Replace the bulb.
    Reattach the wiring harness.
    Tighten the 3 nuts.
    Reattach the engine bay panel.

You need to add the most important step: "Push in the bulb slightly before turning". LOL!
