    If you were given a choice for 1 supercar among these three, which one would you pick first, second, third...?

    Forget for a moment about the value (let's say you were not allowed to sell it)
    And also assume that you have a daily driver (luxury sedan or SUV)

    My pick would be F40...
    After that probably (but not for sure) 288 GTO, because the 959 is very tempting !!!

    Your thoughts ?

    For me F40...second place idk as I'm not that much into the 959 or 288. I would take the F50 over the F40.

    That's a tough one. The 288 GTO is beautiful in sooooo many ways. The F40 is like a shark in a fish tank. I don't consider any 4 wheel drive cars desirable. If I wanted a 4X4, I'd buy a Range Rover.

    288 GTO by an eyelash.

    Ferrari for me, f40 by a hair over the 288. Nothing against the 959, great car but it's a Porsche and my tastes run to the red cars. The f40 was the wildest car I'd ever seen when it came out and had the distinction of being the first production car to top 200mph.

    Now if you substituted the 959 for an F50 then the decision would be much harder...

    The reason why I put these 3 cars in the dilemma, is because they were produced about the same time 1984-1987 and were featured as competitors in all tests.

    In terms of performance, I believe F40 > 959 > 288 GTO

    But in terms of desirability it is a different story and varies for each person.

    I'm sure people that could have afforded these cars in the late 1980s faced this dilemma, or simply just bought all three of them !!
